Guest guest
Hi Marie I live in Ontario, Canada. My daughter Kelsey has CAH. When she was tapered off the Prednisone she had the very same side effects. Achey joints, especially at night and in the morning. She was tapered off during Sept-March. I dont think the cold will affect the tapering off. Coming off the drugs its just as bad as going on them. Kelsey used cold packs on her legs at night to help her sleep. Hope this helps and glad to hear U get to come off the drug. Trish > > Hello to all and I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Guest guest
Hi Trish I am also in Ontario. My Hep doc is Ghent in London about an hour away from home. Hadn't thought of cold packs - we have an electric blanket on the bed which thankfully I can turn off on my side - at least we were smart on that one. How old is your daughter? - I haven't read far back in the posts yet.Is she on Imuran or totally off drugs? Guest guest
MARIE!!! Kels goes to London too!! She sees Dr and Dr Atkinson at the Childrens Hospital I have heard many good things about Dr Ghent!! One of Dr s staff who works at his Pediatric Unit now sees Ghent now cause shes no longer considered to be a 'pediatric case but an adult case now'. Her name is and we love her to bits. She has been through hell and back since the age of 16 and is doing well now. Kels will be 10 in January and diagnosed in June 2002. It was a fluke finding out she was so ill. Here is some info on Kelseys experience: http://groups.msn.com/MyLifeToDance I will be changing her web page over to sympatico at some point in my life, LOL, just running out of time it seems this week. Kels was started on 35 mg PREDNISONE, then one wek later began IMUARN at 50 mg. Her IMURAN got as high as 15 mg while being tapered, 125 mg was as high as her Liver Dotors would go for her being so young. As her PREDNISONE was tapered she began ENTOCORT, then once the ENTOCORT kicked in was tapered to a lower dose of IMURAN. While on Prednisone she also took ZANTAC for upset stomach. Here is another good website: http://www.ldoa.net/ Trish > > > > Hi Marie > > I live in Ontario, Canada. > > My daughter Kelsey has CAH. > > When she was tapered off the Prednisone she had the very same side > > effects.
