Weekend

hello everyone!

It's been a quiet weekend on the list. I hope we are all breathing and

enjoying our Lifelift in between the weekend fun.

This afternoon, after a very long morning; I came home and did my

reflexology tape; and then pampered myself with the face lift products

from the Lifelift website. I used it on my face; under chin and the

tops of my hands. Feel like a million!

Love, Wanda

Sounds like a great past few days .  I hope you (and your body), is 100% ready for tomorrow!  Have a great workout!DarcyOn Mon, Aug 31, 2009 at 8:56 AM, A. M. <plantpowered@...> wrote:

I'm back to lifting tomorrow. I feel like I've had a good break. On Saturday, Glen and I did one of our long SF walks. It was actually hot and very sunny. It was weird because our route took us through areas that rarely see anything but fog. We did 13.1 miles through Ingleside, the Outer Sunset, Ocean Beach to dip our toes into the ocean, Golden Gate Park, and then to the downtown via St. It was like a slow half-marathon, only with a stop for Thai food at lunch, and another stop for salad for dinner. :) My kind of half marathon. The SI joint is nearly back to normal.

There was a big rock festival going on at Golden Gate park (Outside Lands), and we were greatly amused by the crowd's antics as we walked by. One young guy even offered us some mushrooms. (They're not the kind I use in my stir frys, so we passed on the offer.) It was quite the scene out there, especially among the folks who didn't have tickets and were hanging out outside. Ah yes, I remember being young once. I barely remember, LOL.

Yesterday was a rest day. I wanted to do Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss, but the disk wasn't in the case. I couldn't deal with doing anything else, so I just did some freeform yoga. I'm going to do that again right now.

Off to work!

Wow! Thats sounds like a wonderful day ! I wish we were in that area

very much! Or in the least that we had a better more interesting walking route

and weather!

Thanks Darcy. I'm evaluating the situation right now, and I think I'm still not ready for lifting. We'll see what kind of workout fun I can whip up in the morning. On Mon, Aug 31, 2009 at 9:56 AM, Darcy Ledman <exercise.junkie@...> wrote:

My husband finished painting the house.yeah! We did take time to go to the

lake yesterday and boated for a bit then just lay in the boat

sunbathing.......Today I did some brush clearing.......watered the veggie

garden/.....finally it isn't raining all the time and I actually need to

water the garden.......Only the second time all summer. Will water again

tomorrow.I do have a soaker hose so I don't waste water. Tomorrow another

great day and we will grill out. Having a beef kielbasa.and veggies from

the garden...........I personally prefer chicken every day but my husband

does like a bit of beef off and on. ; - ) Nights are already getting

cold...........sigh.....summer is quickly turning to fall.............Do we

have any folks from " down under " here.where is turning into spring?

Blessings, to all, Joanne

Bummer about the dog show Judy....  Excellent about your feet and able to get some stretching in.  I hope your week goes smoothly for being so busy.  Hang in there!DarcyOn Sun, Nov 22, 2009 at 10:16 PM, Judy S <k9sports4gsps@...> wrote:

I had big dog show this weekend--- unfortunately although my younger dog had great runs he slipped and dropped a bar in first two runs and then sunday I thru him off course so we did not meet the qualifying requirements to compete in AKC nationals in Tulsa this spring. My older dog (who is invited to compete in AKC agility invites in Long Beach in Dec) has qualified but I won't go.  I was sad but he is young

The good news is usually my feet hurt at the end of a dog agility weekend (I am on my feet all day!!!)  but with the pilates, cleaner (ok not totally clean - I had my good zinfidels) eating and yoga-- no real pain..

I did the 10 min soln. pilates (core and stretch ) both friday and sat night and then this am I did rodney yee yoga for beginners..all great and

helped me to stay limber all weekend. I am taking rodney with me to CA to keep me limber there   I really need nice quick stretch workouts (15 min or less) I may do my own but I won't have much time there.

ready for good Thanksgiving week - busy as all get out (My club is  running a dog agility trial Fri- sun-- so up 5am to midnight all 3days) but it will be funjudy in DC
