When is the best time to come into chat?

Hi. I'm new here. My name is Georgie. I am 26, and last July, I got

diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis. I am really really wanting to

meet people with this same disease and get some info cuz honestly, I

have never even HEARD of the disease till I got diagnosed. It was so

scary. I thought I had a kidney infection and (pardon my bluntness),

I was peeing orange and my stomach was bloated out to THERE(it

looked like I was 12 months pregnant). One of my groomers(I am a dog

groomer) noticed one day, " Hey Geo, you are YELLOW. "

I looked in the mirror and OMG, why didnt I notice before? My eyes

were florescent. It scared me to death. I had my bf take me to the

ER and from then on, I spent 10 days in the hospital. A week after

that, I spent wo days in a different hospital before they prescribed

me water pills to keep my stomach from bloating up and hurting

again. It is a breath of fresh air to find people with the same

wacky disease I have. I also have some serious questions about

transplants and such(I have not looked through the site yet, forgive

me, it will prolly answer my questions), but I am just wayyy too

excited to find other people out there like myself. I hope to become

good friends with you guys, and to hopefully seek out some advice.

Unfortunately, I have no medical insurance to cover a liver

transplant. I was referred to Shants, but of course, no matter what

is wrong with you or how young you are, money means more to people

than anything. I have panic attacks at night thinking about this

crap. Thank goodness I found this site. Hopefully, some of you can

help me out. Thank you SO much.
