Guest guest
Hi Amy: Glad to hear you look good... That will be a plus for the transplant. It must make you feel better for the transplant. That is encouraging news. Last night, our cell phone rang....I was in the grocery store, Cliff told me when I got in the car. He said , he couldn't get to it -or couldn't answer the call. We were nervous!!!! As, not many people know the number, and aware that, the phone is mainly for the Doctor's call. We were going to a 40th birthday party. So,I said , "Cliff, let's get there quickly, so we can check who called. As soon as we drove up- one of our friends' were there, and, as soon as asked about how to answer , the phone, Ed, told us it was him.. We were wondering , should we let more people call us on the cell phone, as not to worry? We would like to know from anyone here, if this would be a wise decision. Amy, Hope you are feeling good these days. Keep us posted. Love, Gaynel & Cliff

Guest guest
Amy, I think it's about peoples perceptions. Even I'm guilty of telling Daryl how good he looks when I know inside he's feeling like s**t. For me, it's more an expression of surprise and/or relief. Inside I'm knowing that he's very ill but on the outside his skin is a good colour and there's that glint in his eye. I can't help but tell him he looks good because considering everything he surely does! anne [ ] Re: do you look sick? Hi, It used to drive me nuts whenp people would tell me I looked good. If they could only see the medicine cabinet, the permanent dent in my bed and the could that is perfectly set up with cushions for my comfort! Not to mention I can't go more than 3 hours from home and I can just start throwing up for no apparent cause - I'm a blast for my family BUT besides the extra 30 lbs, I look good! I used to grrrrrrr inside but then I realized I'd rather have them say that than you look awful! Recently, one of the hepatologists at the you said the same thing - you look really good. Then he went on to say that he has never seen anyone at my stage of liver damage on the tx list who he couldn't tell by looking at them until he saw me. He said that was good and should help as I go though the next stages. So now I look at it as a good thing and tell people I think it's great too because and thank-you! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend - not too much Super Bowl excitement going around :)Amy
