Guest guest
Hi, Ginger! I live in Knoxville, TN and am being treated for AIH even though I have none of the auto immune markers. I'll bet you are going to the same doc at Vanderbilt that I go to--head of the transplant dept? last name starts with a " P " ? I've been living with this for one year. I have an appointment with him this week--Friday morning. He is weaning me from prednisone. I am on 5 mg of pred. and 75 of Imuran now. My ALT and AST are now in the teens, but when I first got sick, they were both more than 3000. I have no other auto-immune problems, but my liver biopsy showed " extensive scarring. " Right now, I feel completely normal and healthy. If you want to email me away from the support group, feel free to do so. We can compare notes on our experiences at Vanderbilt!
