Hello !

I hope this e-mail finds everyone doing well. Having a Positive attitude, thoughts and energy is something that I found to make a difference in my everyday life and find it to be vital in our recovery. Perhaps now that my health condition has reached a delicate level I've to remind myself daily of that. I'm sorry that I haven't posted much lately; just been very weak since I got home from the last hospital stay.

I do get out of bed each morning into the living room so I can look at the window and appreciate they day given to me even though I can't get out in it but every once in a while I get to go to Wallmart's which been one of my favorite shopping spots is a treat for me and I'm always thankful when my dad takes me. Well my sweet friends; I basically just wanted to say hello and send you all my love and remember Joan's message; Positive energy will get you a long ways.

blessings,

Tony Nuñez

[ ] Positive energy...

Everyday I try to find a quote or questons to ask myself to help either make the day better or just help me make it through the day. I always ask friends for new ones. Have you ever read something and throught it was speaking directly to you...because of your circumstances at that time. (I'm not crazy I know paper does not speak to me....well not that I'd admit it anyway) heehee

These spoke to me today...maybe it can help you in some way. Please feel free to share anything that speaks to you...anytime.

This helps when I find myself on the negative side of the street.

Identify negative thought patterns. Ask yourself, where did this thought come from? Is it true and provable? Once you realize tha negative thinking is not fact but fiction created by your insecurities, you can readjust your view of the world and be more positive....this was in a local newspaper.

I am trying desperately to live in the moment...not worring about the past or future...I find this the hardest....this is what I will repeat to myself today.

A happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour. Life's unexpected twists and turns are what keeps things interesting. When the universe catches you unaware, smile and say thank you. You never know where that deviation might take you or who you'll meet along the way.

Joan

PS....I can't remember who reiminded us to thank our loved one today but thank you for reminding me!

Thanks Joan!

Positive energy has gotten me through the roughest part of this journey. Although no one on this group would ever know it! I have a tendency to vetch to the group all my fears and worries.

Nevertheless, many people are surprised at my workplace that I have an autoimmune disease. They are also surprised to know that I have pain and aches. I am one of those people that smiles and says hello. But, I truly believe that by channeling in the positive energy, you can heal yourself beyond all the nasty prednisone - all the nasty Imuran.

For me, it is highly productive to remember the past. As an actor and director, I use visualizations. I have learned to do that for myself. I close my eyes and I remember when I was well, when I was in the gym every day for two hours, remember when I didn't have (as large) a belly. No aches - no pains. And then I placed myself into that space again.

If I can revisit that place emotionally, I can place my self there and give myself strength to carry out the day.

Thanks

Has anyone read Lance Armstrong's book "It's Not About the Bike"? If not I highly recommend it. It's about his struggle with cancer but his story is an inspiration to anyone with a serious disease.
