I don't remember the brand name. My diabetes is from the prednisone. 140-160 isn't too bad, mine went up to 257. I don't think you'll need insulin. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Guest guest
Thanks for your response, Shirl. In comparison to many in the group, I do qite well. I have drops in energy which gets me down. And then, I will have bouts with stomach problems and light colored stool - this last about two days. My new stiker for my illness suitcase is diabetes. My numbers have had a recent surge. 140-160. My doctor was concerned and put me n glucoflage which my body has not taken to kindly to. I am meeting with a diabetes specialist on the 30th. With me luck with no more drugs and no insulin.
Guest guest
Good luck with your diabetes. I think many of us are involved with diabetis in addition to all the other things tht are or can be wrong with us. My doctor changed me off of Glucophage about 3 years ago, because she learned ( or felt ) that Actos is kinder to the liver. I now take 45 mg of Actos. I believe Actor is more expensive than glucophage and she asked me if I cared. Fortunately, I have a fairly good medical insurance that pays for medicines and the copay is not too bad. As many others have said the one time I had to take prednisone, I had to take Glybuteride ( to increase insuling production) in addition to the Actos ( which increases the absorption of insulin by the cells). I was happy to stop the prednisone! Clara From OR Re: [ ] - Flares - Marie... Thanks for your response, Shirl. In comparison to many in the group, I do qite well. Guest guest
Hi Shirl thank you for sharing with us about your eating habits and how it effects you . I find myself in cycles of not feeling too confortable, and I did not realy recognize that I was doing the same thing! Sometimes I just crave vegetables. And I am definitely not a vegeterian, but I feel better with lots of vegetable and little meat. AND probably "little" bread and pasta would help too. [ ] - Flares - Marie... - And feeling bloated but still hungry, and irregular or odd bowels, and "growlies" in my stomach are all bad. That and feeling *more* tired than usual - there's that telltale listless feeling, kind of like the flu,
