Guest guest
I have both AIH and PBC, and take Ultram daily for fibromyalgia and costochondritis pain. The only problem I have with it is if I do not eat enough before taking it, I get a bit " high " , which I don't care for. As long as I eat at least a muffin in the morning, it's fine. I'm allowed to take up to 8 50mg tablets a day, but usually don't take more than 4 unless it's a really bad day and I can just blow off everything and lounge around. It really does work! Sandy C. Guest guest
Thanks, Sandy, I hope it works for me, but I really don't care to get "high".(lol) . I think its from the opium family. I always eat before taking meds as I do get side affects.. Blessings, Lyn silkybfp <silkybfp@...> wrote: I have both AIH and PBC, and take Ultram daily for fibromyalgia and costochondritis pain. Guest guest
Lynn, Yes I have taken it. It is non narcotic and doesn't make you drowsy. I think it works wonders. I rarely have to take anything though as I am very fortunate regarding pain. Occasionally I have a headache which I will take 1 if needed. This doesn't happen much and my Hepatologist has said its OK to take. Hope this info helps.
Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for this e-mail. I have been a bit hesitant to take the ultram, as I have had very few meds for pain over the years. Since I am having bone and joint pain , I do need something on the "bad " days. So. I will give it a try. Plus it might help the dull ache and pressure of my liver under my ribs. I hope you are doing as well as you can. Take care of yourself, .
