Guest guest
Hi Christy, Do you know if you had the 'textured' saline Mentor implants. It's important to know this, at this point.! Please send a 'Confidential' note to me letting me know where you live, and perhaps we can help you get these things out with a fairly good outcome, since they have not been in too long. If you're in the DFW area, you are really in luck, and if not, we know of a couple of others that can leave you with a nice 'outcome', unless you were like me, who simply developed nothing more than 2 'mosquito bites' after going completely through puberty. I wish I had just left " Mother Nature " alone. I'm 22 and had my augmentation a year ago...350cc Mentor saline implants. I started having panic attacks and depression, and now am having aches and pains all over the place, but blood work showed nothing, and upon reading about all the symptoms decribed by the women in this group, I am more than sure the implants (and not merely anxiety) are the problem. I already spoke with my surgeon about having them removed and he told me to really think about it because my breasts would be less voluminous, " flatter " and " saggy " after the explant, suggesting I may want a lift sometime in the future. Although I am not one to let vanity get in the way of my health, I do need a little extra push to get up the nerve to do this because the thought of having some kind of physical " deformity " at my age is definitely unnerving. I would love and greatly appreciate any feedback from other women who have been through the explant as to how the ! > appearance of their breasts changed after the operation with regards to their appearance before the augmentation. Guest guest
Christy, Well you sound allot like me, only I didn't even have my implants for 4 months when I started with the panick and depression and esp the aches and pains. Do you have the brain thing too? If not, boy you are lucky, get those things out before you get that one. It sounds to me like you only had them put in to make them bigger and not actually correct sagginess like me, from most of the women I have heard of that are you ng like you and didn't have sagginess before the operation they seem to get pretty good results with removal. Everyone is defferent however. I had a full vertical lift and my breasts are small, an A cup, but perky, but I do have scars and at 4 months they are still really quite obvious. I am told by a year they should be allot less noticable. THere are some great surgeons out there so I would love to know where you are and then you could figure out from there who to go to. I did love the way I looked with the implants but they completely ruined my life and I would give anything not to have gone through this. Well keep us posted. You do not have to end up deformed, that is def not true In @y..., " MARTHA " <MAM-NSIF@P...> wrote: > Hi Christy, > > Do you know if you had the 'textured' saline Mentor implants. Guest guest
Hi Christy and welcome. We're glad to have you aboard. As I read your intro I couldn't help but be more convinced than ever that my implants are the culprit for my health problems. My first symptoms were also panic attacks, heart palpitations, extreme anxiety about a year after the implants were put in back in Oct '88. And to think I was still willing to believe that this could be due to stress as the doctors told me. Up until this minute I was still doubtful to some degree but not anymore. I am due to have my implants removed May 28th and looking more and more forward to this every day. I still have the heart palpitations to this day and am praying they will go away when the implants are removed. I had my implants put in because I had no breasts after 2 kids and my PS says I will go back to exactly the same way if not less than before. Woohoo! Can't wait....being sarcastic of course but I would rather have my health than the implants any day. Yes I am vain and I do admit it quite freely. I like looking good and shapely but I'm afraid that with all the health problems I have faced over the past 13 yrs of having these things inside me I'm both willing and ready to face life without them. I can't wait to feel good again. I hope you get some answers from some of the ladies who have had their implants removed. Good luck!
