Debby, you got it, that dr. is for sure a liver CREEP!! Get a new one. How sad and disgusting of a dr. to talk like that. I had an intern while I was in having my tx. he was soooooo rude, I finally told my head liver surgeon and the CREEP came in the next day and apologized. .

Joan, indeed he DID say that all my autoimmune diseases will go away once

the weight is gone. My appointment

was all of 10 minutes long, and the first 5 were the ,’you

are way too fat and once your fat is all gone, you will be cured!’ I had bet my husband that this would be

the routine, because of course we all know

that no skinny person ever has an autoimmune disease! I won the bet…of course, we both knew that this would be the scenario. I was just too crushed to “discover”

that I am fat! get

it! Go figure…you would think that by me looking

into the mirror, that I would have noticed it…I just don’t get it!

His next comment was that prednisone does NOT cause weight gain…just

that you get really hungry but he did concede that prednisone DOES change the

metabolism. So many conflicting

sentences here.

Then, he questioned HOW I knew I had celiac disease. He turned his head sideways, like people

do when they are patronizing you. Well, he basically laughed when he looked at

me – just knew I couldn’t have celiac…but then conceded when

I told him that I indeed had 3 endoscopies with biopsies.

Well, he continued to tell me that I did not have a malabsorption problem

with the Vit K. My own GI told me

that I did because taking the Vit K shots AND the two units of FFP (blood),

brought my INR and Pro Time down.

Instead, this Liver creep told me that he wanted me to take Vit D and K

orally because I did not have a malabsorption problem…AND that he wanted

me to go to a hematologist because he – get this – he thought I had

yet another blood autoimmune disease.

So…he is going to send reports to both my GI and my GP to send me

to other places…I am not going to take their stupid medicine or go to

another doctor. It just isn’t’

going to happen!

So, I can’t wait to lose all of this weight because then I will be

all cured! If you believe this…then

we are all idiots! For now, I am

not going to eat for a long time. I

will drink water, etc or soda, but no food.

Hi there,

Did I read correctly.....your LIVER doc. said that

if you lose 100lbs. your

Autoimmune diseases will just go

away???? I guess I should be happy about

this info. cause I don't have 100lbs to lose so do

you know what this

means.........................I'm

cured!!!!!!!! Praise Jesus....I never

realized it was so easy to get well.

What did you say to him when he said that??

I know that many health

problems can be helped by weight loss..ie: diabities...and

others but never

in my wildest imagination did I ever think anyone

would say AIH could just

go away. If this is true I vow to log on

everyday and talk you through a

work out or chop the good healthy veggies for you

myself. I'm dying to know

what you said to him. I have a

question......with fatty liver....does

losing weight help with this?

Well my friend..I hope today is a good one and

please know I will be praying

for you to have the strength to lose

weight.......Count me in as another

cheerleader. Rah Rah!

Joan, on another note, I am THRILLED that you are cured! This doctor is truly a mucky muck who is

full of himself. His idea of

caloric intake would be perhaps 500 calories a day. So, that would limit me to perhaps one

glass of mile a day. Even lettuce, fruit, all of that has more than that in one serving. But, of course, all of you who are

either under weight or at proper weight, are not sick

at all…it is just your imagination!

This guy seems an absolute idiot. It's dangerous him

saying this stuff. You shouldn't just leave him but,

for the sake of his future patients, you should also

report him to someone higher up - by the sounds of him

there will probably have been complaints before and

this may be enough to stop him.

Debbie maybe we should get your doc and mine together they seem to be of the same mind set (no brains). My doc says that the only reason my liver enzymes are going up is because I am to fat and he said that if I loose the weight then the fatty liver would also go away.

I have lost 30 lbs and am walking and only eating 1 meal a day. The nest step is getting my jaw wired shut.

LOL…you are just way too cool…actually,

I wouldn’t waste my time trying to get these two doctors together…they

graduated from the school of bullies.

Maybe if we put them both in a paper bag neither one would have the brains to find their way out.

I think we need to send out info kits on our disease telling side effects of the disease and meds also that hey I know I am fat now tell me something to help me or get out of my face all three chins of it!!!!!

Personally, a paper bag would be too gentle…a

giant cactus would be just the right thing…press them up against the

thing and then have them turn in circles until they are fully covered in

nettles…naked!

Laughter DOES make all of the difference.

Without someone else having put some humor into this entire situation, I

think I would have fallen off the face of the earth…life is just too

short, I am deciding, to waste my time on earth thinking of this creep!
