Guest guest
Hello everyone..it is again..I have a question for everyone..if anyone knows the answer, I would appreciate it..I got my lab reports sent to me today..Had a diagnostic immunology test done-IgM,IgG,IgA.....Now my IgG was abnormal...it is supposed to be 716-1554, and is 676L(Low?). Anyway the ruhmatologist I am seeing says this is normal, nothing to worry about(fAMOUS DOCTORS WORDS).....I am bringing this to my other rumie when I can get the next appt.. and see what he tells me..His "guess" was that I probably have an "over-active" immune system......When he sees the tests I am guessing that is what he is going to tell me...As you can see I am trying to be my own doctor..because none have helped me so far. Anyway, I am scared..is this a condition that can be fixed-can go away?(as I am very into doing the proper dieting, and into alternatives).is there anyone with the same diagnosis, that knows if this condition goes away in time, and can be regulated....?(i have basically been dealing with this"silent disability", as i call it-because knowone really acknoledges it) ALSO.....I hate to keep posting this and dwelling on it ..but my hair is STILL falling out(for 1 year now), and my scalp is sooooooo dry...WILL this ever grow back?Dam I am getting bald SPOTS!!! I know you great ladies have already told me yes, it grows back(but did you have a diagnosis as to WHY it comes out..or is it just my crazy immune?) I am sorry to babble on and on, I am having some REALLY rough(sick days)..as you all know about the ups and downs..the scary part is not knowing how long the "really horrible days" will last, until a good one comes along...Oh god please just grant me my hair..if I cannot have my health, so I could at least feel half way good about my appearance. thanks ladies, any feedback would be appreciated..... Guest guest
Hi Miss Boop.. First let me say I can so relate to what you are saying about hair loss. That was the first sign of Implant disease for me. But at the time of diagnoses, I had no clue it was from the Implants. What you have is called Alopecia. And it is a auto immune disease. (In alopecia areata, the affected hair follicles are mistakenly attacked by a person's own immune system (white blood cells), resulting in the arrest of the hair growth stage. Alopecia areata usually starts with one or more small, round, smooth bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total scalp hair loss (alopecia totalis) or complete body hair loss (alopecia universalis). The hardest thing is not to Stress over this, because I find that when I am under stress more falls out. But its a Catch 22 here, when your hair falls out, how can you not Stress about it. When I first had this, alot of Dr.s had different ideas, one injected my scalp with cortizone, another Dr. said to take Niacin because it opens up your veins, and lets more blood to the scalp. I also saw a Chiorpractor who said I had false curvature of the spine that caused this. But None of this helped my hair grow back. My hair didnt start growing back until I became pregnant with my second child, so maybe its a hormone thing. But Losing your Crown is one of the hardest things I have had to deal with. Until I was diagnosed with M.S. then I had something else to conquer. Miss Boop I dont remember if you said you had your implants taken out or not. I was explanted in 1994 right after being diagnosed with M.S. At the time of removal I could barley walk. Its been 7 years later and Im so happy to say my cane is still in my Life, But not like it use to be. And my hair still falls out now and then, patches the size of a quarter, sometimes a 50 cent piece. The first time I lost my hair, it was the size of the palm of my hand. ~sigh~ Go Buy yourself some cute hats, or scarfs and try not to stress about it.. And I know that is so much easier said than DONE! Good Luck to you Miss Boop, you & Everyone in this Group are in my Prayers. Sincerely Debe P.S. http://www.alopeciaareata.com/ This site might help you to understand what is happening... > Hello everyone..it is again..I have a question for everyone..if anyone > knows the answer, I would appreciate it..I got my lab reports sent to me > today..Had a diagnostic immunology test done-IgM,IgG,IgA.....Now my IgG was > abnormal...it is supposed to be 716-1554, and is 676L(Low?). Guest guest
Hi , How are things--did you see the other rheumatologist yet? An overactive immune system is generally a nice way of saying that the immune system is going wild and attacking your body, instead of just foreign invaders. This is the whole problem with breast implants, because doctors have been saying for years now that implants don't cause disease, but many women are getting ill with atypical autoimmune responses. Autoimmune diseases are generally considered incurable. However, that is the medical mainstreams beliefs, and not the real experience of many people, including those who don't have implants, when they follow alternative medicine directives. I do think that you can get better from any autoimmune response that you are having. It will just take a long time, and alot of work trying to figure out just what has gone bonkers in your body. It could be the thyroid, it could be mineral imbalances, the various endocrine glands as well as enzymes out of whack, excess free radicals, lack of oxygen at a cellular level, heavy metal intoxication, autointoxication from a sluggish colon, dysfunction in some organs, such as the liver or kidneys, dehydration, candida, viruses, parasites, fungus, mycobacteria.....you can see why things are crazy, and why these illnesses remain a mystery. The mantra here is detoxification. Detox, detox, detox. That is the only way to really get the stuff out of your body that shouldn't be there that may be screwing up your bodily systems. The second part to the formula, along with detoxing is rebuilding, with the right foods and nutrients, and avoiding the processed, denatured and worthless junk foods. You know all about that already. So, keep on doing what you are doing. As a testimony of how you can get better, I offer my own: In 1998 when I was explanted, my rheumatoid factor was at 117. (Normal is anything below 40). I also had a lowered C3 complement and macrocytosis. I was chronically fatigued. At my highest, my rheumatoid factor was 159.(That I know of anyway.) I did all the alternative stuff, and stayed away from drugs. I fasted, I did chelation therapy, I ate organic foods, I cut out dairy foods, red meats, sugar and saturated fats. I replaced bad fats with the good fats (olive oil and flax seed oil). I fasted some more, among other things. It has taken my 3 years to get where I am now, and my rheumatoid factor is now at 58. Still not normal, but a heck of alot closer now! It just is a very slow process, so don't ever give up. I feel great these days. For your hair, have you ever tried yoga, and the inversion postures? Actually inversion poses are good for everyone anyway, as it gets blood to your head for a few extra minutes during the day. Just 10 minutes a day is all you need. You can use a slant board, too, or go to a park and lay with your head at the bottom of a hill, and your feet going up! The idea is to reverse the pull of gravity on your body for awhile, and get some fresh blood up to the head. Give yourself some head massages, or ask your boyfriend or husband to give you a head massage. (OK, I can hear some of you ladies with your wise cracks already....I know what my husband would say....!) Let us know how things are going!
