Guest guest
Hi ladies... Just got on here and started reading to catch up when I saw the email about red pin pricks...... I did not see the orginal email from Jackie but saw Harpers reply...Just wanted to add: if these are truly tiny red pin pricks it could be a playlet problem...I have had them ...yrs ago.......although I don't have liver disease...and my mom just went thru this...she also doesn't have liver disease...we were both diagnosed with ITP...another auto immune disease....we are both fine now....but with me it took time to get better...and my mom needed some serious meds... ITP is when you have a bacterial infection...that attacks the playlets...and eats them up....thus the low playlets...Moms showed up on her ankles and feet first.... Tyler...with liver disease also gets these from time to time...and he has low playlets .... they are called pateakei....Pa...teak...e...i.....that is how is sounds...have no idea how it is spelt.... hope this helps some... and if this is the case...then Harper is right...Jackie ...you need to see a doctor...right away.... Luanne Tys mom ....
