Jennie, Prednisone is best taken before 9 AM, in the morning, not at night. Your adrenal glands are at their peak activity early in the morning. If you take Prednisone at that time, its actions best simulate their output, and your adrenal glands have a better chance of reactivating later when you are able to take less or no Prednisone.

Is there a certain viral load # that is a deciding factor on when to start

treatment? If so what is that #? I have had Hep C for 31 years, last viral load

taken 2 years ago and was 2 1/2 million. Any advise on tx, no tx? Thanks, Dana

If you have had hep for 30yrs then treatment is definately what you should do . But I am no doctor , just a retired paramedic with hep c lol The best way to determine the right time to treat is to have the doc's do a liver biopsy , it's the only way to know what kind of damage and how bad . Or the doc just may want you to have a ultrasound first . But 31 yrs and a last viral load of over 2mil is a red flag .
