I do take one kelp supplement a day, but I don't think it's helped (or hurt) my efforts. ~ > >... My only concern about kelp is that it picks up heavy metals from the sea water. Lugol's solution is both cleaner and cheaper. However, I am still an iodine skeptic. I doubt that supplementation will do much good for you, unless you are truly deficient. I suspect that people that rave about taking hundreds of times the RDA have somehow become addicted to it. OTOH, up to about 3 mg per day seems to also be safe, except for the increased risk of Hashimoto's.
