Oh I know, could the news be anymore negative? My psychology teacher use

to always say, " Don't watch the news. " I'm too stressed out right now with

everything and the news makes me crazy! People with adrenal fatique do not need

the news. When I was really sick last year everyone was dying, Farrah,

, swayze etc. everytime I turned on the t.v. and then my

boyfriend would come in with the death notices from the paper, I couldn't take

it! LOL........

I went to see my internist yesterday, and lo and behold, after telling him how I

feel on the T3 plus the T4 that the endo had given me and that the symptoms I

had when I had to go off Armour are returning in force he said, " Why don't you

just take the T3 if it makes you feel better and not try to

make that doctor better? " I said, " I would, but I need someone to monitor and rx

for me and wasn't sure you would do that. " ..........and he said, " Yes, I'll do

that. I was rxing Armour for you, wasn't I? "

I couldn't believe my ears. Either he's getting smarter or has been doing more

research on this whole issue. That's the good news.

The not so good news is that he put me on 40 mgs of omeprazole (Prilosec)

because of the worsening heartburn that kicked over into GERD. I know it shuts

off the acid, but I'm still taking the digestive enzymes when I eat, so that I

shouldn't get constipated and have  intestinal problems along with this. I may

also increase my magnesium back to the 1000 mark.

The I hope it's not bad news is that I have been having a headache every single

day for over a

month. It's all over my head, waivers in intensity, but is always there. He said

we should wait till

the 5th of April, and then maybe schedule a head imaging at that time.  I would

rather have an MRI (don't want contrast) and he suggested a CT scan (which is

250 times more radiation than an x-ray). I am overdue for my mammogram too.

I am currently on 25 mcg of T3, and as of yesterday was taking 75 mcg of T4. I

took no T4 today, and would appreciate any input ideas on increasing this T3

only dose. Please keep in mind that I am an afib patient, and don't want to hit

my heart with a heavy dose. It's got to be gentle. Should I expect any side

effects or reactions from stopping the T4 cold?

Roni

P.S. My adrenals  and antibodies tested out normal a few weeks ago, so I'm not

going to  have to go into that at this time.

This thing is very puzzling because I haven't really been experiencing headaches

for a very, long time. I used to have migraines in my 20s and 30s, but almost

never get one now. This headache is not a migraine. It's all over my head nd the

pain is variable, but always there. I'm not going to try to diagnose myself,

because it's not something that I understand. In any case he wants me to call

him April 5th if it's still hanging around.

Roni, finding a doctor that will listen to you and work with you is

fantastic news; I'm so glad for you.

I don't know much about your other problems unfortunately; so I can't

really give any advice.  I do know that you can try a cold compress for

the headaches and see if that helps.  And if it doesn't you can try a

heating pad.  Either one might help or make it worse; or have no effect

either way.  But they can be discontinued immediately without having

drugs in your body that have to dissipate.  Aspirin typically was

helpful to me but I almost never have a headache anymore.

Best of luck,

I don't see how, except as an allergic reaction to fillers. Have you

tried different forms of T4?

I suppose this could be an RT3 issue, but that usually just manifests as

hypoT until you get to very high levels of T4, which can cause toxicity

with RT3.

You know, nobody here in Indiana, Land of the Overabundant Zucchini, would

be the least bit fazed by this. When you have bags full of zucchini you can

no longer persuade your friends, neighbors or the UPS deliveryman to take,

you throw those things at *anybody*. And after a couple weeks, people flee

if they even *see* you approaching with zucchini.<G>

I laughed so hard when I read that post about zucchini in Indiana. One year we

had the same problem here in NJ.I put zucchini in everything. I say only one

year, because we stopped putting in a garden after the competition from the

squirrels, ground hogs, rabbits, and deer became too much. We had planted over

30 tomato plants and got to eat exactly one and a half tomatoes. Never mind the

other veggies. The garden was fenced off top and bottom, like a state prison but

still the animals got in. We even fed them their own corn (actually had and

still have a deer lick and feeding stations), but still they ate everything. We

do have bear, coyotes, and other animals here in Hillsborough, but the bear are

the least of our worries. Now I know to keep zucchini handy! LOLNo longer having

a garden is one of the things that led me to sprouting. So easy, can be done

indoors all year, with minimal mess and fuss. Plus nutritionally sprouts are

superior to mature

veggies. Am sprouting my first broccoli sprouts and am very excited. Plus, the

Sprout Garden arrives today!Hope everyone has a peaceful weekend, marion in

I think the smaller zucchini have less seeds. I have this spiralizer gadget that

does best with small zucchini. For those unfamiliar with it, it makes zucchini

into zucchini pasta. I notice that the bigger zucchini are a little more watery

too. I like to make zucchini chips in the dehydrator, zucchini bread, and so on.

But the small ones are my favorite too.marion

Come visit me in Indiana. You'll be sick to death of zucchini very quickly.

The smaller ones are juicier and firmer and have less of the spongy core

where the seeds are, so generally they're more desirable. I always go for

the young zucchini unless I'm stuffing them or making zucchini bread or

fried zucchini. The less juicy, larger slices are better for breading and

frying.

Oh, see I just learned something new about the smaller zucchinis. And since my

days of breading and frying ANYTHING are LONG behind me, I am into stir frying,

steaming, poaching, and using my CAROTINO oil. I was able to get a bottle.

It's a red oil full of anti-oxidants. I was lucky. I was able to find it.

So hopefully I'll live a long life filled with the anti-oxidant benefits of

sprouts and Carotino oil.

Take care

I agree with n, the smaller zucchini are much better, having fewer seeds,

less moisture, and fewer seeds. I also make zucchini pasta, and zucchini chips

in the dehydrator. I don't make zucchini bread because of the use of sugar and

flour.

Perhaps one of nature's answers to world hunger that has not been put in

place as it has no political, economic or research future for the people

who need a cause. I wonder if the seed is banned in under developed

nations? And how many seed varieties of Zucchini are stored in the seed

vaults of the frozen north to protect the future of mankind?

Just some thoughts in amusement on reading your comment. Your state

isn't the only one where it becomes difficult to give away the abundant

Zucchini year after year.

There was ny Appleseed. Maybe we need a ny Zucchini and care

packages to start sprouting instead of flooding markets with rice, beans

and wheat and destroying the income of local farmers; not to mention

feeding starving people peanut butter laced with vitamins to avoid the

final pains of starvation. Seeds as potential are a lot less attractive

to those who intercept contributions for political leverage or gain;

withholding or diverting contributions to special interests or selling

for a profit.

Now look, I've gone and made sprouting a political issue!!! Won't be

long before there is a need for Zucchini police and a government license

to sprout.

You have bears and coyotes? Why am I sounding so surprised? Over the summer,

my landlord put this cage on the roof (in the backyard where they grow all their

stuff), and he caught a raccoon. I actually saw a raccoon in my backyard in a

cage on the roof. And he was still wiggling. I found out they took him out to

the country and let him go. He had eaten all their grapes.

Just remember to go over and talk to them. They like this.

I talk to the sprouts, eat them, enjoy growing them, and love that my husband

likes them. Even my 17 year old niece likes them.and I LOVE that sprout garden.

I got it because of your videos Melody and because of hearing how well they work

for you and another person on the list, who had posted that they got theirs

because of you. thanks!

It is amazing how much I enjoy watching the sprouts grow. It is so nice to come

home and while rinsing them, check the trays to see how they have grown.

My sprout seed order arrives Monday--I can hardly wait! I am going to grow some

Arugula this week as well as more broccoli, and try some mixes.
