Guest guest
Hi Caren, This anxiety is so very common--I couldn't wait to get my implants out, and I thought I would go crazy when my surgery was scheduled almost 3 full weeks from the time I made the decision to go ahead with explant. It is like life is put on hold until that day. However, I also believe that the anxiety is also a part of the damaged response we have to stress, caused by the implants. I think the chemicals damage our adrenals, (which are the glands that control our response to stress), and exhaust them. It creates an unbalanced delivery of hormoneswithin the entire glandular system. I am not a doctor, and I am sure that a doctor could explain it so much better, but I do think that our parasympathetic nervous system is affected greatly, and in some cases, the central nervous system as well. My surgery for removal of implants and mastopexy took a total of 4 hours in the operating room. It actually wasn't a bad surgery at all, and my recovery was much better than when getting implants. I was never tested with the silicone blood test. Please let us know the results of that--what exactly is it going to measure? (If there is silicone in the blood, if there is an allergic response to silicone, if there are other cell functions being affected by silicone?) Guest guest
Girl I can relate to anxiety and depression as a result of the implants and the whole situation. Patty explained her opinion, and while I think that is possible, I also know from my own nightmare with implants that it can be very anxiety producing to go through this whole thing, and it doesn't necesarily end with explant, as you can see from reading my posts! I have been through the ringer with this and am just starting to see some improvements, but I have so many problems still and I am anxious right now too. egroups, JCKCI@l... wrote: > I have anxiety to and I never have till 2 months ago .
