Guest guest
Hi Fragrance, Sorry I do not know much about it, just that I am still taking 2000/day, and that I should have had mine retested a few months ago (last tested 15jul09). I had some blood taken but the result did not come back, so it must have been missed off. The endo told me it was required to retest, but as I had not stopped taking it, I knew the result would anyway be affected by what I was taking & so have not yet had a retest. My last blood test result for D3 was 135, which in view of what I was taking was not too high. It was my endo who said that I must aim for at least 75 for D3. I intend to stop taking both D3 & iron (ferritin blood test is affected by iron taken within the previous 6 weeks) for a month before my next blood tests (can't face any longer gap in iron & D3 than this) - I will stop in a couple of weeks after we have got this horrible cold spell of weather over as I find this depressing anyway not doing my usual things with friends & feeling isolated at home, as my thyroid blood tests are due again soon (4 months after changing meds, as it takes this long for TSH to change in response to a change in thyroid according to my endo) and I might as well have them all done at the same time. I do not have the courage to also stop taking my B100 to also have B12 tested as I do not want to get depressed, and I believe that this takes much longer than this anyway to not show in the blood test. Val Thanks, Val, so 75 is the optimum level of Vitamin D level? To raise 7-10, one should take 1000IU of supplementation.Fragrance
