Since this is more pertinent to the lists mission, I suggest you modify

or change the subject line so those filtering this particular thread can

see it.

What have you been diagnosed with? If you have test results you could post them

here along with the ranges which are all to be found on the test sheets. If you

don't have copies you can get them with a simple phone call to the doctor's

office. Once they are posted here, we will be better able to tell what is going

on.

Other than anaphylactoid shock and death?

Yes, it can trigger or aggravate Hashimoto's thyroiditis and thus

destroy your thyroid.

Potassium iodide has been reported to cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea,

and stomach pain. More common side effects include allergic type

reactions, angioedema, arthralgia, eosinophilia, lymphadenopathy, and

hives.

When I tried iodine, it gave me hives at quite a low dose. Nancie had a

more severe reaction and is lucky to have survived it.

You probably won't hear about any of this on the iodine lists, but the

dangers are real.

I sent a link with all the side effects, but I don't know why it hasn't come

through.

You may e-mail me directly for this info.

Everytime I discuss iodine on this group,

I get a bunch of negative, fearmongers,

chewing me a new, you know what.

I don't need to justify to those afraid of alternative

medicine, why what I use is making me, and a lot of folks better.

I am just really happy to say that it is, making me better.

I have a familial hypoT, so I don't fit the more common patterns. I take

137 mcg of T4. I also take some daily supplements, particularly D3,

magnesium, zinc, and calcium.
