By any chance has anyone in the group seen the full page ad in the April

edition of Better Homes and Gardens (pg. 245)? It is a legal notice from the

central district of California and is focused towards any persons or

surviving spouses, parents, and children of those who received Gammagard IVIG

(an intravenous immune globulin). Apparently there is a class action suit

involving people who may have contracted HCV by using this product between

Jan 1, 1993 and Feb 24, 1994. There the possibility of obtaining free Hep C

testing as well as settlement payments. Don't know if this would even pertain

to anyone on the list, but just in case, there are time limits and deadlines.

The website listed below offers more detailed info.

I believe she was treated by the Deepak Chopra Center for Well Being. His

approach to health is quite different. Don't have his web site but if I run

across it I'll pass it along.

from my doctor there is a 20 survival rate with

thyroid cancer.I have about 13 yrs.to go to be in the

clear.have you had problems with your tsh level going down?I

have to get tsh tests every 3-4 months for the simple

fact that it wont level out for very long.It will be

at one level for awhile then go down.

Hi -- I have no idea where my tsh is right

now, but just recently the doc raised my synthroid

to.2.I have decided to find an endo doctor because now I

am on synthroid, high blood pressure med & diabetic

meds. I am having trouble remembering to take all pills

every day. My doc is a nice guy but I don't think he

has a handle on my needs. So after the holidays I

will look for someone that can help me. Have a happy

holiday!!

Hi Patti,

There may be various opinions on this subject but I believe it to be a

powerful weapon against cancer when one uses fresh oil and use it with

cottage cheese as a source of sulfur based proteins.

check www.beckwithfamily.com for testimonies. These are not selected

incidents Anything unfavorable is there as well but there have not been

many.

Other things may be added to make any nutritional approach more effective.

I am currently using, in addition to the FO/CC, 3000 mgs a day of yeast Beta

Glucan and 9000 mgs a day of a brand of readily available

vitamin C.

I learned about this from moonbeam. There are other things that help as

well. From what I have seen I believe the FO/CC is the heavy artillery.

Hi Lee

fire fighting is part of the basic survival,as a medic you can't be part

of a heli-deck fire fighting team as it obstructs you from your main

roll, same goes for the HLO course.A radio ops course is helpful as many

agencies state this as a duel roll medic/radio op.Sorry i don't know course

durations but I think it's just a few days.Good Luck

Hi Iain,

Just a quick correction mate, medics are still asked to act as HLO's

and whatever else the client companies can get away with, it's a

shame but thats the way it is....

 Hi Iain,

All the agencies i work through only ask for your offshore medics cert,

Survival, Offshore medical. Anything

else is a bonus,so you dont have to worry about HLO's course or anything

else.Any other training will be done

by the company or on the job training.

I have all the symptoms of Reiters except rashes and UT (sypmtoms include eyes

and colen). I am also on Methotrexate and will start one of the biologic

responser inhibitors? I think that's what they are called. I have complained

for YEARS that every tendon and ligament in my body hurts. They haven't

supported the structure in my feet for many years. If I'm bareboot and stand up

to walk, my natural high arched in my feet TOTALLY collapse and flatten out.

Everyone around will hear my poor feet, ankles and knees, even sometimes clear

up to my hip, crack and pop like a bowl of rice crispie cerial. Once they all

crack (while I limp around for some 10-20 steps) then I'm OK to go. By back is

also fusing and discs degenerating. From my head to the toes I hurt. Been to

chiros for 30 YEARS and not a one of them can figure out WHY I can't hold an

adjustment. Well, cause all the supporting tissue structure pulls them out of

alignment, THAT'S why! Wasn't until my eyes became

affected and threaten my optic nerve and thus my eyesite did anyone take me

seriously.

By the way, I have two sisters and a brother (I'm the oldest at 48) and ALL of

them have ALL these symptoms as well, except the eyes so far. But yet we test

negavite HLB27.

So far methotrexate isn't helping, but I haven't been on for only 3 months and

only up to 15mg per day. This drug I'm to start in August is supposed to work

with meth so will see.

I know that Drs will NOT give me prednisone or anything in that family because

I already have been fighting high pressure in my eyes. Prednisone warns not to

use on people like me.

Hi,

I just filled my prescription yesterday for Armour Thyroid and the Pharmacist

said they are going to stop making this medicine soon..

This is the only thyroid meds I can tolerate without and allergic reaction.

Anyone else here about this?? Annette

Annette,

Go to the website stopthethyroidmadness.com.  There is a Lot of info there.

From what I understand Armour changed their formula about a year ago and many

were having problems with the new formulation.  It may be that what your

pharmacist is referring to is the fact that the FDA has required Forest Labs to

rework, so to speak their formulation.

There is a drug from Canada that the FDA  has approved for those in the US

since there had been so many shortages of thyroid meds including Naturthroid.

That drug is called Erfa.  You might want to look into that.  There is also

info on the sttm site about it.

Hope this helps.
