Guest guest
Hi Sheila, At the top right hand side of your browser click on tools (spanner in google chrome) Click options then Under the Hood tab Clear browser history, boxes should be ticked but there's a box at the bottom saying Clear data from this period. Select Remove all. See if that lets you get on to site :-) Love Tess > > This is ridiculous - I cannot access the Freedom Web site with either my > username and password or 's. My Browser is Google. Guest guest
Done this several times Tess, but still the history is still there. I type in 'a' - everything I searched for starting with 'a' comes up etc etc. I have never had problems with this before. I can't seem to get rid of it. Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila, At the top right hand side of your browser click on tools (spanner in google chrome) Click options then Under the Hood tab Clear browser history, boxes should be ticked but there's a box at the bottom saying Clear data from this period. Guest guest
HI SHEILA Some of this software that you download which says free scan, you download it, then it does a scan for you, and to go any further you have to register it, and this is when they want some money to obtain the registration number, and once you have the number you usually have a box to put it in, and then it does what it is supposed to do. This is what happened to me and they usually offer you a free download and free scan, but to go any further you have to pay for one year. Having myself done this, and the one I have cleans and corrects errors in the registry, but you are then continually getting emails wanting you to buy more software plus upgrading what you have. Have you tried going to MY COMPUTER, and I would presume that you have one drive which is C DRIVE, CLICK ON PROPERTIES, and first do a disc clean of all tempory files (a list should come up, but it can take a little while depending on how big the drive and how many files there are. You should then see a list and you can tick them. Did you use windows to do your defrag if not try windows defrag, you can ask it to anylize it first to see if it needs a defrag. You can also ask it to check the drive and it does this next time you switch it on. It takes a while so suggest you leave it doing this at night, as it depends as well how large the drive is. You must surely have a windows explorer browser as well, so have you tried using windows to delete your history. I suggest that you also delete your passwords and cookies. I have WINDOWS XP SP3 which is still supported, but nothing under this is. What system are you running (not vista). I clicked on your link and reached this freedom site, but will try and see if I can reach there with my browser and try and sign on . The government are shutting down a lot of their sites to save money, but have you seen the news on THE DATA BASE I think it was one patient in ten had errors (heaven forbid). Guest guest
Hi! Sheila The reason you need to sign in again is the cookies for will have been removed when you used the cleaner... I have set out below step by step instructions for deleting Browsing History.. just the stuff you need to remove and not the cookies you want to keep.. Programs that charge only do what you can do yourself for FREE... The history for google is not your history Sheila they are recommendations by google so you type in A or B or C and it will give options like Amazon,Argos,Asda they represenet the highest number of searches made.. so if typing 'A'or 'AM' brings up amazon it mean an awful lot of people have searched for amazon. If you want to clean browser history INTERNET EXPLORER ... any windows ie XP.. VISTA 1) start internet explorer 2) go to Tools and click on it(top left hand side of browser under address bar) 3) click on Internet Options (this will bring up Internet Options Box) 4) click on the General Tab 5) under browsing history you will see a small check box DELETE BROWSING HISTORY ON EXIT You need to put a tick in this box THEN press DELETE.. this will bring up Delete Browsing History box 6) I personally TICK Preserve Favorites website data.. this will keep the cookies that are in your favorites menu ie I have TPA-UK in my favorites so it will not delete TPA-UK cookies or TPA-UK web page for faster viewing.. 7)The rest is your preference Temporary Internet Files - Cookies -History ARE ALL TICKED BY DEFAULT (there is info against each option) WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED ticking your preferences press DELETE YOU CAN ALSO ENABLE/DISABLE COOKIES by clicking the PRIVACY TAB I have mine set to Medium which blocks third party cookies that do not have a privacy policy You move the slider on the left to the setting that you want. if you Click on the SITES box you can tell internet explorer which sites you want to Allow or Never Allow to use cookies regardless.. You need to type in the web address ie tpa-uk.ork.uk in Address of Website box then Click ALLOW Sheila in your case to ALLOW you need to type in health.goups. THEN Click ALLOW You can also type in other addresses that you want to allow cookies for.. A website places cookies in your browser which enables you to log onto your favourite sites without having to physically log on every visit it also retains information ie bank account logins ect where you have opted for save information.. Hope this helps? xx > > > Yes, there were, and then I clicked Ccleaner to do it's job, which it > did, and told me what had been deleted.
