Guest guest
Nancie, I would like you to understand that I am very glad that you are a part of this group. I respect you and agree with many of your opinions and perspectives. Sometimes people will differ as we have on the fructose issue, but we are all adults and the discussions were held with respect and restraint. Discussions with differing opinions help bring out information for all of us. I also want to thank Chuck, and Steve, as well as all the others that participated in these discussions. I find that I always come out more informed after a discussion in this group on any particular subject. What a great group we have here. Guest guest
Roni- I am not sure what the problem is here, all I said was that we shall have to respectfully agree to disagree here. I think that was pretty civil, the only problems that I had was that website where they were selling things for diabetics, for me that is just like that iodine website run by that other MD who is pushing his iodine protocol and the trainer who never mentioned fruit, but instead mentioned fruit juice as a simple carb, which is indeed true. However, you can Not compare or equate fruit juice with an actual piece of fruit. an actual piece of fruit has fiber in it and the fructose is not concentrated as it is in fruit juice. So, was it when I mentioned my dad who was also a IDDM? he was a brittle which is even harder to regulate and yet over the 32 yrs that he had the disease he found that he could eat all types of fruit as long as he adjusted his insulin and exercise to handle the food. I understand that every diabetic is different, my point is that the role of diabetic management has evolved over the past 32 yrs and it is not as strict as it once was. the diets are more liberal and the insulin management has also evolved in its understanding of the disease process. so, please tell me what the problem is. nancie From: Roni Molin Sent: Wednesday, December 30, 2009 12:16 PM hypothyroidism Subject: Agreements Nancie, I would like you to understand that I am very glad that you are a part of this group. Guest guest
There is nothing wrong. I think you read my post from the perspective of looking for how I was going to say something negative about you. I didn't and I'm not. Please take my words at face value. I agree that the discussion was completely civil. My husband was also brittle, and it was very difficult to control it. We have no quarrel. Everything is fine.
