Guest guest
Hi Bee, I was reading up on Vitamin A: http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/govtregulation/a/VitaminAToxic.htm and it says studies show an increased risk of fracture at 3,000 IU daily and we are taking 20,000 IU, right? It also says retinol (Vit A) can interfere w/Vit D and calcium. I have declining bone density (6% loss over last year, no doubt due to my adventure w/hydrocortisone) and blood tests show my Vit D levels are too low. So, I know this diet is supposed to normalize all levels of nutrients, but I guess I'm seeking some reasurrance and understanding about why we take such high levels on this diet. Thanks!
