Guest guest
If you decide to get the implants out, and feel they are causing your problems, then you really should find a PS who is knowledgable about taking them out and about the problems they cause. You want someone you can trust to do the job right. You need a capsulectomy and you need the implants removed enbloc. That means that they take them out with the scar tissue intact around the implant. This is the only way to be sure that everything comes out and that nothing is left inside you, also that the implants are not broken so that none of the contents are emptied out inside of you. You said your implants are smooth, so hopefyully you won't be dealing with so much scraping and digging as they had to do when they took out my textured implants. What part of the country are you in? Patty should still have a list of PS's who are recommended to take out implants. I would ask her for it. The ones that I have heard the best things about are Dr.Kolb in Atlanta, Dr.Feng in Ohio, and Dr.Huang in Denver, but there are others too. If you can get to Dr.Feng I recomend her higly because she is very talented and very knowledgable, but Dr.Kolb is awesome too, and she has lots of experience as well. It just depends on where you are and how far your able to travel. I will pray for you and for all of us who are still going through this nightmare. As far as my recovery goes it is still up and down, and while I have had some major ups, the downs are killer. I went jogging today and I am so sore, I guess I overdid it, bad. But I felt ok when I was doing it, now I am paying the price I will keep ya all informed of my recovery......I can't believe how slow it seems at times. But hey, I rode my bike 15 miles yesterday, and did 6 miles today(walk/run) and Friday. The only thing is that I was still doing this with the implants, so it seems pretty insignificant realy. I am still achey achey achey and my chest is sore, I cannot believe it still hurts after 6 weeks! In egroups, JCKCI@l... wrote: > I go to see two doctors Tuesday to see about explant.
