Can anyone tell me if chick peas are ok to eat for O's?

Chick peas (garbanzos) are neutrals. Steve's Lists rates them as "occasionals".

Hi Ian,

Chickpeas aren't good for two reasons: 1) they contain a high amount

of carbohydrate (sugar) and 2) they are a legume and legumes are not

fit for human consumption.

Here's an article to find out more:

Hope that helps!

Hi, sorry if its all ready on the website somewhere...but do I presume

that chickpeas are not allowed due to their high carbohydate content.

Hi Ian,

from what I understand, is that it is not good when you are sick.

Later, when you are healed, if you soak and sprout them, you could

eat them in moderation.

did I read this incorrectly? I know bee said that for grains and

nuts so I assumed legumes aswell.

+++Hi Correy. Sprouted Chick peas are okay if you only eat the green

part, which is only the sprout itself, and not the seed attached to

it. You don't need to soak seeds, etc. before sprouting them however.
