Chick peas (garbanzos) are neutrals. Steve's Lists rates them as "occasionals".

Guest guest
Hi, sorry if its all ready on the website somewhere...but do I presume that chickpeas are not allowed due to their high carbohydate content. Thanks Ian
Guest guest
Hi Ian, Chickpeas aren't good for two reasons: 1) they contain a high amount of carbohydrate (sugar) and 2) they are a legume and legumes are not fit for human consumption. Here's an article to find out more: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal13.php#a30 Hope that helps! > Hi, sorry if its all ready on the website somewhere...but do I presume that chickpeas are not allowed due to their high carbohydate content. > Thanks Ian >
Guest guest
Hi Ian, from what I understand, is that it is not good when you are sick. Later, when you are healed, if you soak and sprout them, you could eat them in moderation. did I read this incorrectly? I know bee said that for grains and nuts so I assumed legumes aswell. correy On Feb 23, 2009, at 4:45 AM, it2007recruiter wrote: > Hi, sorry if its all ready on the website somewhere...but do I presume > that chickpeas are not allowed due to their high carbohydate content. > Thanks Ian > > >

Sprouted Chick peas are okay if you only eat the green part, which is only the sprout itself, and not the seed attached to it. You don't need to soak seeds, etc. before sprouting them however.
