Mindy,

I have read this book. It is interesting reading. Dr. Braverman has a radio show

where he takes calls on Sundays at NYC radio station WOR. Personally I have

found Dr. Atkins book The Vita-Nutrient Solution to be more helpful

though. I had contacted Dr. Braverman after reading his book and he was kind

enough to talk with me. However his suggestion for my son's seizure disorder was

to try Lamictal. Ironically I asked him at that time if he thought the Atkins

Diet would be helpful and he remarked " Only if he is overweight " . My son has

been seizure free since the end of August on the a modified Atkins Diet and

supplements - no medications. He was having 100+ seizures a day before starting

on Atkins.

Please can anyone point me to a book (one from Bee's list or otherwise) that

best addresses toxins like birth control pills for teenage acne?  I have already

forwarded Bee's article about oil of oregano and offered up my bottle to my

cousin who is about to start Yaz for her acne.  She's still in high school and I

fear this will really mess up her system.  Maybe I'll get my nose smacked for

sticking it into somebody else's business, but I'd like to try anyway.

I was thinking of Confessions of a Medical Heretic???

Thanks so much,

W

+++Thank you Rick. Also remember that an unhealthy body adversely influences

the mind, as Dr. Price reported. Stresses in life are less able to affect the

mind and emotions if a person is healthy physically. So they go hand in glove.

Cheers, Bee
