Guest guest
Lynn, I have had a raised rash with my Stills before, but only in much smaller patches then the other type of rash, it may or may not be a Stills Rash, they just don't know. Guest guest
Hi, I had a blotchy rashed hive like rash all over my face and scalp, in my nose, ears, mouth, around my eyes. It later changed to a red itchy rash, after I started on Prednisone it peeled off. There was never any question from my treaters that it was a Still's rash.I still had a souvenier near one eye where I think the blood vessels were damaged from the rash. Rash on face , My scalp has been red for a year and a half, my face has been red for a few months, like a sunburn. Sometimes my chest and upper arms look red like a burn, but I have never had a raised rash. Does everyone with STills have a raised rash? Jay wrote: Im thinking that when the doctors say the the stills rash doesnt happen onyour face, that they are talking about the actualy splotchy and raised rashthat occours on the trunk and limbs, and they are only going by the researchon it which says it's uncommon. Guest guest
Trish, I think the rash could very well have to do with stopping the prednisone and entocort. I know steriods can cause you to have acne and it does seem that rather than having much of a problem when my dose was higher, I had a bit of a problem when my dose was dropped down to around 5 mg a day. I'm on 2.5 mg a day now and have no problems. I wonder if maybe using just a bit of some over the counter hydrocortisone might help. I hate to suggest it though without having you ask the doctor. My stepdaughter has terrible problems with eczema but she didn't have it on her face except when she was just a baby. Lupus can cause what is known as a malar rash or butterfly rash. It kind of looks like a butterfly has landed right on your nose and spread its wings across your cheeks. With me, the butterfly rash is only red, there are no bumps. However, with some people the butterfly rash can be pretty bad. There may be some bumps. The skin may burn or be painful when touched. I would talk to the family doctor about tomorrow and ask for some ideas on what to use to help clear it up.
Guest guest
My daughter doesnt have autism but has had a problem like that for as long as i can remember. The first time it happened she broke out all over her body. benedrylwas a quick fix, but the rash returned. I figured out that she had a reaction to the laundry soap. Everytime she put on something that had been washed in it, she flared up. I had to rewash everything with my usual brand (Tide was my usual but you know how it is when youre broke and end up buying lynn instead) she has had these episodes since then but we never could figure out what caused it. She was referred to a rheumatologist to look for something inflammatory. Benedryl is your best friend when an allergy occurs, but it doesnt help when you dont know what is causing it. Maybe consider a scratch/skin test. autism From: alee_oop_99@...Date: Fri, 7 Dec 2007 03:46:03 +0000Subject: Rash on face My stepson is 11 and has autism. He has had a red rash on his face. Guest guest
Hi, I have developed raised red bumps around the corners and just below my eyes. It burns!! Also in the past month I developed a large red raised rash-like area covering most of my chin and some red bumps on my face. In the other areas my skin is not smooth, I see little raised bumpy areas. I also had started using coconut oil on my face instead of moisturizer. So, I am wondering if this is a reaction to the coconut oil or is it really toxins coming out? If it is toxins how long will it last? Why does it burn around my eyes? Also, is is bad to put the coconut oil on my face? Right now I stopped putting anything on my face and I am getting very dry. What are my options? Thank for all the help and support. donna

So, I am wondering if this is a reaction to the coconut oil or is it really toxins coming out? +++Hi Donna. Yes, it is really is toxins coming out through the skin. Coconut oil doesn't cause any health problems, however since it is antifungal it kills off candida, which releases more toxins, which in turn causes die-off reactions like toxins coming out through the skin. See die-off symptoms to understand them: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal2.php > > If it is toxins how long will it last? Why does it burn around my eyes? +++How long depends upon many factors, which are different for each person, i.e. how well you follow the program, how long you've been unhealthy, how old you are, etc. +++Also if you've had anything similar in the past your body will " retrace " those symptoms during healing, which is according to Hering's Law of Cure - on my website. +++It burns around your eyes because it is inflammed. Inflammation is simply the body's immune system substances and healing blood brought to the area to heal it, which also may cause swelling and itching. > > Also, is is bad to put the coconut oil on my face? Right now I stopped putting anything on my face and I am getting very dry. What are my options? +++Coconut oil is very good for all of your skin, and you can also put a few drops in your eyes to help them heal.
