Guest guest
If I were you I would talk to Dr. Rutledge about anything as important to your health as these episodes seem to be. That is not a slight symptom. It is a serious symptom. Please address this problem with him for your health's sake. God Bless you, I will keep you in my prayers. Guest guest
WOW, if you were diabetic before...check your blood sugar with your machine...if you were on medicine before MGB maybe you are now taking too much. I would call your doctor immediately...if it is that low, you could go into a coma. I think this is a medical emergency and you need a physicians input immediately. Guest guest
Hi - I've had episodes like this all my life. Pepsi or any concentrated sugar source is not really the answer because as soon as it hits we produce more insulin to handle it and set up a vicious circle with a whole new drop in blood sugar level from the heavy insulin secretion in response to the pepsi. A more natural source of sugar like juice metabolizes more slowly and demands less insulin production, and if followed by a good protein snack like cheese, egg, meat or protein bar or shake, will help level more normally and safely. I've had to avoid sugar pretty much all the time pre and post-op. I still get the " nasties " if I have more than a couple of bites of dessert WITH a meal. No " treats " for me without protein at the same feeding. I really have found that the post-op eating recommendations have done more for me than any of the previous attempts to control the problem like glucose tablets. Are you getting lots of protein? It really seems to be the one thing I can't ignore if I want to avoid a " drop " and that long nap. Be well - Tj > > Hi, > > I have had several episodes of what I believe to be extremely low blood > sugar- just wondering if anyone else has had this. Guest guest
Oh, I have some. They're just NAAAAAAAAASTY. Like... Extra Strength Citrus-Creme Tums kinda naasty. Like wanna-be-orange-chalk. But then, that keeps them from being a temptation, eh? Like I said, I wasn't 'in a rush' so went across the street. If I'd been shaking horribly I would have bitten the bullet and eaten the chalk SulaBlue > You might want to hit the drug store and in the same section where they keep > the glucose meters and lancets you'll find packages of glucose tablets that > are made specifically for when a person has a low blood sugar episode. Exactly. It was just a little snack. I actually managed to eat only 1/2 of the 1.85oz bar and put the other half away. I even totally forgot about it until just now. Guest guest
Thank-you for all the great information that everyone is giving me. I am so excited to find answers and a plan to heal myself. I have another question....lately I have been having a lot of the low blood sugar episodes which are kinda scary and I feel I need some kind of food fast. What do you suggest during a spell like this? Also, I get this most often early in the mornings because I work from 6am to 9 am and then come home to eat breakfast. I have been struggling with what to have quick before I go to work because I can't make it till I get home. Just the other day I was so happy to find the egg drink and had that the last few days and it worked pretty good though one day I didn't make it home before I had a low blood sugar spell and had nothing with me at all to eat. Any suggestions? thanks, Heidi

Guest guest
Heidi, I just wanted to let you know you're not alone with this. I've been dealing with these attacks more and more lately. It's enough to make my fear kick into gear and start talking to me about stopping the diet, but I'm only 11 days into it and I know it's just going to take time...and likely a lot of it. I was pretty healthy two years ago, after I had been on the plan for a couple of months. I felt awesome. I wasn't totally in balance, of course, but I felt great. I fell off it.. but I know how good I can feel again and I want that back. HUGS to you. I hope the advice Beth offered works well for you (and me!). I have another question....lately I have been having a lot of the low blood sugar episodes which are kinda scary and I feel I need some kind of food fast. What do you suggest during a spell like this? +++Hi Heidi. First, many people assume they are having reactions that are low blood sugar, when actually they are experiencing die-off symptoms. Second, if you have had low blood sugar before your body will " retrace " each and every episode during the healing proces, which is according to Hering's Law of Cure: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal7.php +++During those spells it is best to help your body detoxify by doing some of the treatments recommended, i.e. Epsom salt baths, dry skin brushing (or another mild form of exercise), coffee enemas, Bee's Electrolyte Drink, etc. +++It also helps detoxification to take all of the supplements along with the " good " fats I recommend, since fats of all kinds work together to detoxify the entire body, and they even get rid of heavy metals, and reconstruct all of the body's cell membranes so they are healthy. Taking niacin (B3) along with vitamin B complex is also important for opening up all blood vessels and capillaries which gets rid of toxins, particularly radiation, through the skin. +++I suggest you boil a few eggs and grab them, along with some veggies, when you are rushed in the morning, or have keep some frozen cooked chicken breasts in the freezer at work. Remember that die-off/healing symptoms are similar to low blood sugar symptoms, and many people confuse the two. When you are on this program your symptoms will be either " die-off/healing symptoms " or " retracing symptoms " which is when you will re-experience any past low blood sugar episodes - this is according to Hering's Law of Cure: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal7.php Also see these articles: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal2.php http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php All the best, Bee
