Wheezing 4-year old resistant to diet

Hi, Bee.

I thought doing this diet for myself was hard, but trying to convince

a 4-year old to build up his immune system is even harder!

I'm so frustrated that my son refuses to drink the egg drink that I

crush calcium/magnesium into and the electrolyte drink with Vitamin C

crystals - He only drinks water. He will eat some of the foods I

cook, and I have been able to sneak some nutritional yeast flakes into

them. He will chew Vitamins E, D, Omega 3, A, and will drink Cod

Liver Oil. He gets emotional when his cravings kick in & I know I

have to work on figuring out some good substitutions for the grains,

dairy & sweets that he's used to having, especially at his

grandparents' house. They don't get how important this diet is, so

I'm thinking about banning him from their house even though they

usually babysit him 2-3 days a week.

He has had problems with borderline asthma, croupy cough, & a runny

nose for the past several months. Actually, he has had periodic

respiratory problems throughout his entire life, including as a

newborn. Today I heard wheezing in his chest, so I reluctantly got

out the nebulizer and albuterol. I don't want my son to die of

pneumonia and then be condemned for not giving him what the doctor

prescribed.

I feel guilty no matter what I do. It could take 6 months to heal him

naturally, while pneumonia could take over within a much shorter

period of time.

Can his immune system be built up with a good diet & supplements while

I continue to let him use his albuterol in the nebulizer?

Thanks,
