Guest guest
Cheryl in CT, GO AWAY!!!!! Your mother is right, she can handle the girls. Sometimes kids get sick just worrying about their parents leaving them. The solution is to go away more often!! Ziv used to vomit everytime we went somewhere at night. We simply told her the more she did it, the more we would go out! she stopped! When my mother was dying she depended on my 110% of my time. I went away for a break one weekend and she ended up in the hosptial. The moment she saw me all her complaints disappeared and she wanted to go home again! talk about mind over matter! A fever is a little harder to control, but everyone gets virus's - lets just hope that is all they have - and that you dont get it! You and Glenn have planned this and really should go, for your own sake. Consider this: 1-2 nights w/o the kids VS feeling cheated out of your time together. Trust your mom, she'll be fine, if not, she'll contact you. IF you decided to postpone, then rebook soon, and go no matter what!!! I hope the girls are better by today so that you can leave with a free conscious. Give them popsicles and jello, and let them play games in the bathtub = I used to put food colouring in and pretend that it was a pool! Best wishes to you and your family, take care, wendy in canada
Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, I am not going to tell you that you should go if it feels uncomfortable for you to leave your kids behind knowing that they are sick. I say go if you think that you can enjoy yourself but if it feels like you won't, reschedule for next weekend. The girls will be well and maybe your husband's work issues will have resolved along with his grandmother's health issues. There will always be something seemingly trying to sabotage our attempts at " a life " . I always weigh the somethings. I am sure your mother can handle things just fine. The bigger question is will you feel good about going and have a good time. You want the experience to leave you with a good feeling about going so that you will be more inclined to make it happen again. This could be now or it could be postponed. I do believe that if you postpone it that you should reschedule it now and get your plans in order so that it really happens. I feel for you as a mother who has a hard time creating much time for myself. I am managing though. It's still so hard on Carly. It doesn't seem to improve for her no matter how much I go out. I am trying to get some therapy lined up to treat her separation anxiety but by the time the docs come through we will probably once again have worked through it on our own. If you decide to go have a GREAT time and enjoy!!! Aloha - Robin

Guest guest
-- I've been on Lexapro since early spring for " situational " depression. I " didn't think " I needed meds because I *knew* why I was depressed and it wasn't " chemical. " Well, came a point where I realised I better get a little medicinal help, whether there was a " reason " for my depression or not. My family doctor, when I came to her with my tail tween my legs simply said, " depression is depression and wrote me the script for Lexapro. It's been helping, and I'm not afraid about maybe being on it long term. I know this isn't exactly an answer, but I just wanted to tell you that I know about that thing called situational. Guest guest
Hi , I've stopped and started meds, too. The first time I stopped I was able to go for about 4 years before I needed them again, but like you mentioned in your situation I had the blues that whole time. I was just able to deal with it and work around it. I've been pretty dysthymic for most of my life I suppose. I've been on Lexapro for I think 3 years now. It worked pretty well at first, but it never completely got rid of the depression. It just made it manageable again. Back in May it stopped working well at all and we upped my dosage to 30mg. That still didn't help me get back any energy so we added Wellbutrin XL. That helped a lot. I'm now up to 450 of the Wellbutrin and 30 of the Lexapro. I don't know if I'll ever be able to stop taking meds again. I was hoping that I just needed the meds to help me out a bit for a little while because life was really stressful, but that doesn't seem to be the case. My life is not stressful now and I can sense that I still need the meds. I worry about the long-term affects of meds, too. I wonder what taking any drug long-term will do to my body, especially when I'm taking high doses of a drug. I've managed to resign myself to the situation for now because without the drugs I would be completely nonfunctional, and I really haven't had any bad side effects from them anyway. And last time when it was time for me to come off the drugs I was able to manage without any side effects or relapses. Some people do seem to have a hard time weaning off antidepressants when it's time for them to come off them. But in general antidepressants don't have too many long-term effects on the body. Of course, that doesn't stop me from worrying though! Sorry I don't have any help for you, but I wanted to let you know you're not alone in your situation. Guest guest
Hi , I've stopped and started about 5 times because I didn't learn my lesson or didn't have insurance and couldn't afford the meds. OR switched after some time to a different SSRI because of unwanted side effects. I am now told I should stay on something long term and will follow this advice gladly. ) My doctor told me the risks of the antidepressant over long periods was way less than being depressed/anxious etc. over long periods.....I even took Paxil throughout my entire last pregnancy and while breastfeeding with no problems. Not that I recommend this, it's just what I needed. Have you talked to your doc about starting Lexapro again? (It didn't work for me but I'm still here for support while I'm weaning off of it and onto something else.....) Anyway, I'm not much help but thought I'd share since I've been on this merry go round before and still seem to be on it. *sigh* Good luck and take care, Cyndi On 11/9/06, <Ibashopper1@...> wrote: > > Hi my name is , and I was on this group April 2004 when I began > Lexapro and dropped out in August 2004 when I stopped the Lexapro, > because I was feeling better --- DUH. > > I believed my depression was " situational " -- I had lots going on > then. Guest guest
I just wanted to thank everyone for their feedback. I did make an appointment with my doctor for Friday. I guess I just needed to know that I wasn't the only one who " thought " they didn't need the meds once the " stressor " was removed, only to find out that the depression, while slightly more manageable, was still there 24/7. I had good luck with the Lexapro last time, so that is what I'm going to ask about this time. I'll let you know.
Guest guest
Hello, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in 1998 and after going through a similiar regime on fighting candida I was able to put it into remission for 10 years. I had my first child at age 37 (2007) and my second child at age 38 (almost 39). Both were via c-section and during my second pregnancy I started getting pitting on my fingernail beds. After that tiny red bumps on my upper thighs. Eventually the nails got worse and two of them have inflammation under them along with separation from the bed. I've been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and my quess is that my candida/fungus level has gotten out of control. I've read your candida diet, but have a question about the meat. I'm a type A and have been told that meat is not good for my blood type. What do you recommend in this case? Thanks,

That's great you put your Ankylosing Spondylitis into remission with a similar program. Two members of this group have cured their Ankylosing Spondylitis on this program. But of course, a person cannot resume consuming a diet that causes such health problems, which is modern foods, or they will get sick again and again. All arthritis is caused by toxins, and candida would also contribute to such toxic levels in the body - see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/arth1.php The blood type diet is called " Eat Right 4 Your Type " which is totally unworkable and not true - see this book review: http://www.westonaprice.org/bookreviews/eat_right.html All human bodies are the same species no matter what type of blood they have. Like Dr. Weston A. Price writes in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration: " We humans have the same rigid restrictions regarding food selection as the simpler forms of life when foods are evaluated from their chemical basis. Also, it is not necessary to adopt the foods of any particular racial stock, but only to make our nutrition adequate in all its nutritive factors to the primitive nutrition. Tooth decay is not only unnecessary, but an indication of our divergence from Nature's fundamental laws of life and health. " This program provides all of the " proper nutrients " all human bodies require in order to be healthy, including meats. All the best, Bee

I still have tons to decontaminate and bag and Zip Lock co. is out of zip totes. Hi Lynn Been reading this board since Sept, and finally got here It's been a long strange trip and it aint over yet, babes. Well, I had my house sprayed with ficam-w ( a carbamate, a miticide) in sept, and it did absolutely nothing. Then, I had my house sprayed with permethrin (21.6%, and very strong, and recommended for mite infestations). Zip,nadda. Buggies are still there. So, I moved. And I have not yet unpacked my things, or the bugs that came along.... but my new house is now infested BECAUSE OF ME AND MY CLOTHES!! I am going to buy some Death Lac bug spray today. It has an insecticide as well as a co-polymer like in hairspray, which encapsulates the critters and eggs and stops them cold. In fact, while I was waiting for the Death Lac to be ordered at the chemist, I have tried using hairspray.... and have had some relief. You also mentioned that you had fleas and then mites..... So did I, and I winder at the connection. What specific mite awr we dealing with, does anyone know? Which birdmite? Red fowl mite? Acarus sori? D. gallinae? Dermatophagoides scheremetewskyi Bogdanow? Ah, a fellow in Hawaii had a positive identification of the mite in his hair and on his skin (that was associated with the mysterious black specks)... as Acarus sori, also called Baker's itch Mite, very prevalent and difficult to eradicate. I have a lot of questions, yes. But I believe that we CAN figure this out.And yeah, I was organic to the bone for years, and it didn't keep me from getting this, and I am a naturopath and that has not helped either. Can anybody on this board tell me what mite we are dealing with? This is a question that will lead to the answers so many seek. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Your description " demon bugs " is so very appropriate! In reading your recent post, you are doing everything within your power, and that is good. I have talked with MANY who are suffering just like you. Allergic reaction plays a huge role in how people react to foods, chemicals (pesticides), their environment, and yes pests! You are unique, like so many others that these microorganisms (mites)like and love. Check out www.kleengreen.com and read how this nontoxic product has helped thousands with exactly what you are suffering from. Best to you. http://www.naturalginesis.com or http://www.kleengreen.com 800.807.9350 > > Hi all > > Husband wants to use poison again. He wants to use bug bombs just to get some relief. I still have tons to decontaminate and bag and Zip Lock co. is out of zip totes. To much to prepare still to do any poisoning and I don't want to poison just for three days of peace and actually still have some crawling and biting like the last time we bombed when the dease took a major hold of me back in May. Well I started a protocal of Aphidolphis (sp), vinagar and Honey, Lemon water, Shaklees Alphalfa iron-c, a multivitamen, and 1000 mgs of Ester-c. Also organic wheat bran which is high in magnisium. I get charlie horse in my legs and feet really bad. > > The house was crawling today. I sprayed everything. By the end of the day after all the viatmins taken at different times seem to make the bugs less interested in me or my spraying killed some of them. I broke down and used Windex this morning. But only becuase I am almost out of Orange concentrate and I need that for my hose and nasal gear each morning. Kill anything crawling on it so I can use it and not send critters shooting up into my sinuses. The tooth soap I got is working great for keeping them out of my mouth. No more problems with critters trying to get into my mouth. At the tooth soap site I buy the spearment drops. I love it love it. > > Still plan on doing the 3 step plan at the herbal healer to kill the dease and than plan on doing the 4 herb tea for the rest of my life on a maitense basis. Also going to start making sure I have Dr. Shultz Super foods around. I buy it in powder form but hate the taste. So I buy the biggest veggie caps I can buy at my local health food store and make capsels. I than take two or three a day until the levels are built up and than take every other day four days a week for high Mantience. It is exspensive but less exspensive than being sick and fighting these demon bugs. Some one posted that rat mites will choose just one person. Well that sounds like me. Five people in the house and I am the only one being biten full of sores. My husband itches; I do not itch. And he has some sores that look like mine on him but he is not the least bit tormented. Hope by curing myself I can get to whare he is and than work on us both and than finish the demons in the house while they are starving to death. If I remember right some mites can servive in a certain stage up to three years. > > I still would like to try killing them with the Menthol crystals and diameceious Earth. I bought some organic grown coffee today from Costo. Not sure if it has any GMO in it, but it claims not to be treated with any pesticides. So a begaining to slowly transform my household to all organic things. My son whom lives here with his wife now for three weeks says the organic commercial gardening is harming the earth. Not sure whare he got his info or if it is just certain companies. Anyone know anything about that??? > > In Light Lynn >
