Guest guest
I use rope jumping to do HIIT if I'm trapped at home indoors. You can alternate intervals of rope jumping with step aerobics. If all you have is the rope, you can vary intensity by switching between a double-bounce and a faster single-bounce. jumping rope Has anyone tried incorporating rope jumping into her cardio? How has that worked? I bought fitness jump rope...don't know why. Now, that I have it I want to work it in some how. Liz
Guest guest
Hey Liz! I used jumprope as my cardio a lot during C2. I used to do it at my parents' house on their wooden deck...much easier on the feet and ankles. You can very the intensity in lots of ways--slow single bounces, knee raises, running, jumping jacks, fast bounce, fast double bounce, heel touches in front of you, lunges, etc. I used to do the 20MAS w/jump roping and always felt like I had the intervals right. Guest guest
my husband has one that he uses for his cario when he can't get to the gym, and I tried it once. Its alot harder than it looks doing it for 20 min straight. After about 10, your arms are like jello for some reason... LOL but you just do the intervals and go REALLY fast till you hit your 10's then slow down etc... I prefer my step aerobics and kick boxing... Guest guest
Hi Bee, Is jumping rope like rebounding, which you recommend? My legs are not hurting now like they used to, and I thought I could go back to jumping rope. I do body brushing, which I worked up to, gradually increasing. I go up stairs at work, and will in my new home too , as the bedroom is upstairs. Thanks. C.
