Guest guest
I visited my PS today, and asked if there were any tests that would show whether or not I was having a reaction to my implants. I already had an ANA and a Rheumatoid Factor test and am awaiting results, but he suggested that also I have an ESR blood test (Erythrocyte Sediment Rate, I believe). He said that if this reading is high, it shows that I am definitely having a reaction to something, but won't specify if it is the implants or not. I would appreciate anyone who knows about this test and its validity regarding implants. Thank you, Christy

Thank you, Christy I have had Sed rate tests, but mine were described as the " Westergren Sed Rate " , and they have always been normal. Mine were in the 5-6 range, where out of range values started at 20. I have heard before that a high sed rate indicates some type of inflammation, and is often found in people with autoimmune diseases, but I don't know for sure. I can only tell you that mine were normal, but I did have the elevated rheumatoid factor and lowered C3 complement. Hopefully we'll get some other answers here! Guest guest
I had all normal labs when my symptoms were at the worse. I was so sick but everything came up normal, ana sed rate etc. Later on the ANA went up and has continued this, of course I am only 4 months post explant so I am hoping it will go back down. Not one Dr took me serious till the ana cae back elevated. Anyway, all my other labs are normal, my sed rate etc. I go back may 1st for a big immune panel and that ought to tell me more. so just because the labs are normal doesn't mean it isn't the implants. good luck In @y..., " Christy " <DollBaby@l...> wrote: > > I visited my PS today, and asked if there were any tests that would show whether or not I was having a reaction to my implants.
