Please elaborate. > You can fool yourself but you have > no right to fool the others. On the contrary, my dear . The purpose of this list is the dissemination of information. If you can provide information disproving Dr Becks devices/protocols, then by all means do so. Everyone that has responded negatively so far has had only their unsubstantiated opinion, nopt even supported by their own personal experiences. Dr Borman at least claimed to have had little/no success using them on others, but from everything else she said, it was obvious she either didn't follow the protocols properly, or was outright lying about it. I can say this. I ALREADY notice a difference in my hair, from just 1.5 weeks of the MPG being used on my head. If this thing grows my hair back, no one will ever hear the end of it. Besides, I never said that this worked...I said Dr Beck CLAIMED it did. Big difference. People on this list are supposed to be capable of thinking for themselves. -- Marcus

Guest guest
My mom's liver is shot. They will try some treatment but there is only so much they can do. She doesn't want to go to the extraordinary treatments like a liver transplant, at her age. I am going to try and visit her next month. I just have to figure out how to get up to San Francisco. I wish I wasn't sick or I could just drive. Thanks for your concern. Love, Lee dolphin & dragon <nerick@...> wrote: Hi lee Let us know how your mum is doing? Guest guest
I haven't really focused on hep C before. Was wondering if Chinese medicine could help and found this treatise: http://www.haemophilia.org.uk/traditionalchinesemedicine.html Another article about promising enzyme therapy (using a preparation called Phlogenzym) and hep C: http://www.hepatitis-c.de/enzyme.htm I have read that digestive competence equals immune competence. I thought Rosemarie's story was interesting. Liver cleansing sounds important. J.
Guest guest
For anyone who has recently discovered that they have HCV, and especially for people who have limited or no access to the internet, there are two outstanding books. One is " The Hepatitis C Handbook " by Dolan, which discusses various treatments, focusing strongly on alternatives, as well as the newly published " Hepatitis C Helpbook " by Misha Cohen and Gish M.D.. Cohen is a very well known pratitioner of TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) in San Francisco), Gish is one of the leading hepatologists in the U.S. A friend of mine has been under the care of both of these people for many years and has a great deal of respect for them. It is highly unusual for an allopathic doctor to team up with an alternative pratitioner, but Gish has seen enough of his patients do well on alternatives to actually consider them a viable alternative to interferon. " Doing well " means halting progression of the disease, while reducing or eliminating symptoms, as well as lowering LFT's (liver enzymes) and viral load. Most common lternatives for HCV can include any or combinations of the following, with varying degrees of success: TCM preparations (often include bupleurum, licorice, peony, schizandra, astragalus, eclipta alba, artemisia capillaris ) IV protocols (vitamin C protocols, H2O2) Ozone therapies UV blood irradiation Supplements (principally NAC, C, E, selenium, alpna-lipoic acid, multi-vitamin, mushrooms, PSP, SAM-e) Herbs (principally milk thistle, dandelion, siberian ginsing, olive leaf extract, St. 's wort, artichoke, phyllanthus, desmodium) Ayurvedic herbs Hyperthermia Oral low dose natural interferon Thymic extracts Colostrum Transfer factor Castor oil packs MLM products: mycrohydrin, ambrotose Moducare Sterinol These are just off the top of my head. There are other herbs and vitamins and minerals that are minor players in various blends, however, I just wanted to list the main ingredients and therapies here. Below is the type of treatment protocol that many people put themselves on and show improvement. Unfortunately, it's difficult for most to maintain such a schedule for more than a few months. This is from the hepatitis pages of www.daair.org Most people end up simplifying their protocol after the initial blast of concerted effort. Lana ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Morning, upon rising: In juice, mix: 1 scoop ProGreens 1 tablespoon glutamine 1 tablespoon Barley Greens (Green Magma) 1 big scoop of whey (lately, Ultimate Balance is my favorite) 2-3 scoops Nutrivir (sometimes) 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. acetylcarnitine With: 1-2 capsules milk thistle, standardized to 80% silymarin 2-3 capsules Ecliptex (Chinese herbal combination) or Hepato-C or Clear Heat...currently started Hepato-C [i rotate between these, with some periods stopping] 1 vitamin ester C, 1000 mg (with rose hips) 1 capsule dandelion root 1 capsule lecithin (1200 mg; contains 420 mg phosphatidyl choline) Currently: 1 tablet of licorice extract (glycyrrhizin) Glass of water with 500 mg of effervescent NAC and a 1/4 tsp. sodium ascorbate Lunch: 1 iron-free potent multivitamin 1 capsule 300 mg alpha lipoic acid, sustained release 1 B-complex 1-2 vitamin ester C, 1000 mg 1 capsule natural vitamin E (400 IU), mixed tocopherols 1 capsule 100 mg Coenzyme Q10 1-2 capsules milk thistle, standardized to 80% silymarin 1 capsule glucosamine/chondroitin Joint Support Afternoon (empty stomach): [2 capsules Ecliptex (Chinese herbal combination)--as of 12/00, using 2 caps bid of Hepato-C] 1 vitamin ester C, 1000 mg 1 capsule dandelion root Currently: 1 tablet of licorice extract (glycyrrhizin) Glass of water with 500 mg of effervescent NAC Evening (with food): 1 capsule milk thistle, standardized to 80% silymarin 1 capsule lecithin (1200 mg; contains 420 mg phosphatidyl choline) 1 capsule evening primrose oil (1300 mg; contains 340 mg alpha linolenic acid (omega-3); linoleic acid (omega 6) and 190 mg oleic acid (omega 9)) 1 capsule 60 mg Coenzyme Q10 2-3 capsules Ecliptex (Chinese herbal combination) or Hepato-C or Clear Heat...currently started Hepato-C [i rotate between these, with some periods stopping] 1 vitamin ester C, 1000 mg Currently: 1 tablet of licorice extract (glycyrrhizin) Periodically, I buy and use 1 bottle of glycyrrhizin. Then stop for a few months. Occasionally I will also use a German, apothecary grade of St. 's wort (Lichtwehr Pharma.) Lately I've been using S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe)--it works great but costs an arm and a few other limbs... > I haven't really focused on hep C before. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I have had hcv for approx. 30 years. I have found that ozone applied in rectal insufflation will effectively treat it over the long term. Not neccesarily cure it, but keep it at bay. Another treatment is mega doses of IV Vitamin C. I have done 25-30 in a series with excellent results. There is a Dr here in the Wash DC area who gives them. You would probably benefit from Castor Oil packs over the liver as well. Try looking up Edgar Cayce in a search. If you need more details, I'd be happy to share. you can email me directly. Arthur

Guest guest
Tina, There are lots of things you can do, but you will have to do them, not just think about them, and you need to do as many of them as possible, eventually getting to all of them. Alternative methods use a shotgun approach, not the magic-bullet theory. Begin by taking a lot of omega 3 fatty acids from both flax oil and fish oils. If you have to choose, use the fish oils. You also need trace minerals & glutathione to detox your liver. Take NAC (n-acetyle-cysteine) for a good glutathione source. Use ConcenTrace brand or colloidal minerals, not pill forms of minerals. Deparisitize with herbs or electronics & do 3-4 liver flushes, a month apart. Hulda has a good formula, and can be found on the web, or in our archives. If you can afford a medical quality ozone generator, get one immediately, and begin rectal insufflations, which will get ozone to the liver, and steam saunas or cupping over the liver. Get a book on good & bad fats & stop eating all oils that have been heated or cooked, and this includes cooked meats! Meats can be eaten raw if done properly. Only eat unheated good oils, like extra virgin olive oil. Never eat a fried fast food again! Start taking 8 dried wheatgrass pills twice a day & eating more raw veggies. Throw almost all of your spices away! Cayenne, ginger, horseradish and other healing herbs are your new spices. It cannot be emphasized too strongly that you begin drinking plenty of water, getting a lot of fresh air & sunshine, and Homozon would be an ideal way to begin cleaning out your liver. Chase it with the juice of a fresh lemon twice a day as the lemon helps clean out the liver also. If you get this far, you will probably already have a healthy liver again, as the liver is the fastest regenerating organ in the body -- if you stop fighting against it. jim tinastroud4@... wrote: > > I just recently found out that I have Hepatitis C and I also have > some live damage. Guest guest
Those are excellent suggestions, Jim. I would add a drink mix of : 1 whole lemon 1/2 cup Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil Put the whole lemon in blender ; peel and all Add oil Fill remainder with water. Blend Pour through strainer and dispose of pulp. drink one glass a day The pectin in the peel and lemon juice will " cut " thru the oli, and make it more readily absorbed. This is prescribed at http://www.keephope.net for liver and other immune problems. (more notes on hcv, and hiv) People are said to get relief from neuropathy (muscle aches), better appetite, and liver detox, and balancing of Ph to more alkaline. PS. Be very concerned, but not afraid. You can reverse the problem.
