Guest guest
My husband and I have figured out that we are both suffering from candida and are slowly coming to terms with going on a candida diet. We stopped eating gluten a year ago and ever since then we have had a problem with what to have for breakfast, the candida diet makes it even harder to come up with anything. Can someone please give us some ideas for a good, healthy, enjoyable breakfast! Cheers Lena

I think the easiest and best breakfast is Bee's Egg Drink, however when first starting on this program you start with smaller amounts of butter and coconut oil since they are antifungal - see the Important Notes after the recipe: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe167.php The best in health, Bee
Guest guest
My breakfasts typically consist of eggs - sunny side up, some type of meat (homemade pork sausage, homemade bacon, beef - raw ground beef, sauteed ground beef or chunked with garlic, onion and sea salt) all with plenty of melted butter. Recently, I lightly sauteed together various veggies such as broccoli, onion first, then add kale and cherry tomatoes at the end... all with butter and sea salt. Yum! Can be served with scrambled eggs as well. I'll post the breakfast sausage recipe on the Candida Recipe Message board for you. I also eat dinner leftovers some mornings. > > My husband and I have figured out that we are both suffering from candida and are slowly coming to terms with going on a candida diet. Guest guest
Hi Thanks for the breakfast sugestions! I'm a bit confused about bacon, why is bacon allowed but not any other smoked products? And also is pumpkin ok to eat? Anyone in Australia that can tell us where to get hold of coconut oil? Thanks Lena

There is bacon available that is not smoked or contains nitrates, sulphites, sugar and table salt. No, pumpkin is not allowed. I suggest you post another message with a Subject that includes Australia, to get other members' attention so they can help you. Guest guest
Hi Beth: ***In your reply to Jeanne's question about what to have for breakfast you wrote: > Leftover dinner or salad. ***Sorry, Bee does not recommend having raw vegetables, so salad is not a good meal idea for breakfast or any other meal. Raw vegetables are difficult to digest, and most Candida folks have poor digestion on top of this. *** Bee's egg drink is a great breakfast, eggs in general are a good breakfast with some homemade sausage, etc. You can have any food that is approved for breakfast, and also it can be something more " dinner-like " like you suggested. Guest guest
Hi Jeanne: > > Does anyone have any ideas on what I can have for breakfast besides eggs? > *** As you can imagine, this subject has come up many times over the years. This is a very active board, and it is really helpful if you search the message archives for information like this. Be sure to pay particular attention to Bee's responses, as you'll know the info is correct. Best, Marissa (a group moderator)

Guest guest
Hi : ***You might be interested in joining Bee's Candida recipe group, since you are trying to find foods to make. They have tons of ideas. Recipes_For_Candida_Healing/ > > > Do you have a recipe for sausage? *** I do, I got it from the " Nourishing Traditions " cookbook, and I just don't add any bread crumbs. You might also find some interesting recipes on the internet. You can make many recipes Candida friendly by just making appropriate adjustments. Guest guest
Hi ladies, Yes, I am not sure where you are on the diet, but this is pretty common in the beginning, Bee says before your body gets used to running on fats, and also can happen before you get your dietary fats up nice and high. I found for me, it took a few weeks for the hunger to calm down. However, over the past couple of days, I have started feeling hungry like this again, and know the hunger does not make sense because I have just eaten. I tell myself it is the yeast crying out for food, and that helps to deny it. Good for you guys for getting through it! Stay strong! Luv, Marcie > > > > Should having just the raw egg drink for breakfast be enough? I feel > > really hungry after I've had it. Even if I have steamed vegetables > > as well, I sill get hungry. Guest guest
Hi all, Sometimes I like a nice " hash " made from ground meat and cabbage, onion, and peppers. You could also scramble an egg in here if you'd like. Could do a fried egg over some cooked greens. It is also nice to have a soup with broth, greens, and whatever meat you like. I've also been known to have chicken and broccoli/cauliflower stir fry, all pretty yummy with your coconut oil poured over. For me, I just had to think outside the breakfast " box " Good luck, Marcie > > > > Does anyone have any ideas on what I can have for breakfast besides eggs? > > > > Thanks > > Jeanne > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks for the ideas. I'm boiling some bones for broth. My stomach is still trying to get use to the diet and my candida isn't happy with me,LOL It's saying, " where's the starbucks and candy? " This time I'm killing those creeps.......I've been sick soooo long I'm tired of it. This is REALLY hard, but nothing good in life comes easy......... Last night all night I felt like I could feel the operation on my stomach......weird. Today's, " symptom of the day is pains in my liver. " My friend took me to the store and he bought banana's and they looked sooooo good. I use to make banana smoothies everyday thinking it was healthy. I do miss my banana's........... Guest guest
Jeanne, My favorite " keep going " motivation is one of the testimonials on Bee's site, where someone wrote, " Nothing tastes as good as FEELING HEALTHY " . Temptation is everywhere so I had to run with the diet and not look back, lol. Slowly, my body starts to crave cooked veggies and not that donut I used to have every morning, & it makes me happy to know that I am NOT putting junk into my 75 trillion much-needed cells every day. Everyday on the diet is a small progress =) On Thu, Feb 11, 2010 at 7:15 PM, JEANNE MONEY <jmoney46@...> wrote: > > > Thanks for the ideas. I'm boiling some bones for broth.
