Guest guest
After awhile you'll get used to it and feel " naked " without the water bottle with you. I take one of those 20 oz water bottles with me all day and refill it about five times during the day. ly I don't drink 120 oz of water a day, realistically more like 90. Guest guest
If I get in my goal water intake for the day, I still spend most of my time going to the bathroom or looking for one! lol Rita Water intake How did you ladies go with drinking 120 oz of water? Ive been drinking the right amount the last few days(after realising that I wasnt drinking the full amount) and have found it a little difficult. Im permanently walking to the bathroom... Im permanently walking to the bathroom... I just make sure that I always have a glass with me And I only drink 1 8oz cup per hour since that's what my kidney doc says is best. So.. I just drink my cup each hour when I'm awake.. and when I get up in the night I drink my cup. Your bladder should adjust and your trips to the bathroom will decrease Serenity
Guest guest
personally I bought one 1liter bottle and my goal is to drink 3.5 of those bottles, at first I went to the bathroom a lot as I got used to drinking that much water I didn't go as much... and with that being said, I gotta go to the potty now! Guest guest
That's been the 'party line' for ages, but the researchers have recently done an about face. I've read it several places, but here's a quote from the Jan/Feb issue of Women's Health magazine, pg 82: Quote: Contrary to popular belief, caffeine doesn't dehydrate you, according to a 2005 study in the _International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism_. " A cup of black coffee before a workout can boost energy levels and increase calorie burn, " says Molly , R.D., founder of Creative Nutrition Solutions in Vestal, New York. Unquote Oh, and even more good news that had me rejoicing even more (since I don't like coffee)... Forget the pricey sports drinks or trying to figure out the ideal ratios of carbs, proteins and fats to refuel your muscles in that critical half hour or so after a hard resistance workout, when they're desperate for fuel to start repair work. An 8 oz serving of low-fat chocolate milk just happens to have the exact appropriate mix of simple carbs and protein to feed those hungry muscles. Even more happily, it's only about 160 calories, which isn't too bad for an apres workout snack. A lot of " protein bars " have up to 300 (eek!). And some people think there is no God.... ;-) Tess On 3/11/07, Festival City Concrete <pvisser@...> wrote: > nancydewolf wrote: > > To answer your coffee question... most of what I've heard is that if it > > is caffeinated it does not count as a water and that you have to > > actually add water to make up for the diuretic effect of the caffeine. That sounds like a plan to me. I'll tell you something, though, that might help. (Might also be TMI, but I'm prone to do that. <G>) Instead of trying to keep track of ounces of water consumed, I just glance into the potty after I go. If it's still water-clear, or almost so, I know I'm properly hydrated. We're all such individuals, I figure it's better to go by my own body's clues than to rely on a " one size fits all " recommendation. It's never true on a clothing tag, anyhow. Of course, if you take vitamins that stain your wee or you use one of those blue things in the tank, this won't help at all. LOL Those coffee drinks sound delicious, but I'm afraid if I ever tried one, I'd be hooked. Other than milk and a weekly glass of juice or smoothy, I try not to drink my calories-- for me, it's just not worth it, satisfaction wise. Dif'rent strokes for dif'rent folks, and all that! LOL i was just about to reply and say that i take vitamins every day, and then you said it...LOL i cant use a blue thing in the tank because the dogs drink out of the bowl (yuck) > I try not to drink my calories-- for me, it's just not worth > it, satisfaction wise. i dont find 60 cals for a cappaccino to be a big deal. i also drink light hot chocolate at times and it is only 40 cals. the french vanilla cafe stuff at 83 cals is pushing it though, i do not have those very often and prefer the lower calorie cappaccino anyway. :*carolyn. I had the sleeve and I just seem to take small sips all day long and I am sure I never drink that much water. Are you feeling ok? See what other people post on go from there. Guest guest
I'm with you.......when I left the hospital a month ago, Dr. A said I had to drink 64 ozs. per day which included 60-70 gms. protein. I keep a daily food/exercise diary but I'm tellin' you, I've reached that 64 oz. goal only a couple of times. Most of the time I'm lucky to get 40-50 down. I keep trying but it's difficult. Guest guest
Hi , In addition to the electrolyte drink, you should just drink water according to your thirst. There is no required amount that you *must* drink. > > I know it is listed on bees web site but I could not find it.
