Guest guest
Hi Tammy, I was diagnosed in 2001 with sll and my numbers are a little worse than yours. Whenever I get an infection my glands swell and ache, but as soon as I have recovered they go down again. My doctor thinks that is what I should expect so I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it. I do think you should talk to your doctor. Good luck and I hope you have a nice holiday. Also, are the lymph % and lymph # an indication of lymph nodes being affected by CLL? Lately, there are many times that it hurts in my neck to eat, especially anything spicy or tart. I am not sick with any upper respiratory issues. Did not know if this is cause for concern. I guess what I need to know is when will I know for sure if my lymph’s are involved, and could this be the case now. My Dr. is not real free with information so I have to look to my fellow CLLer’s. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your input. I did go to the doctor and it was strep throat. I feel much better now and the glands are going down. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I did, we have a new grandbaby! Guest guest
Ever since I had a flu virus in 1970 (probably mono but not diagnosed as such, now EBV titers positive) I have had episodes of swollen glands, especially under my throat by my ears. When I followed the Dantini protocol (Dr. Dantini in Florida, check out on the internet) and took Valtrex for viruses, they go away almost all of the time. When I feel them getting sore or swollen, I take Valtrex for a few days and it knocks the viruses back to normal. in La Selva Beach CA
Guest guest
I've been trying very hard to stick to this for a long time, for 5 years, most of that time--no sugar, no gluten, no dairy, no additives/preservatives, no nuts (some raw almonds and almond butter). I've had periods where I eat ice cream or have some wheat. For two weeks, I've been on target again. I'm working my way up again on all the supplements--I'm at 2000 mg of Vit C. A teaspoon of coconut oil every other day. I've chopped up a clove of raw garlic and eaten it every day for a week. I'm still too high on the carbs (mostly rice crackers, brown rice, quinoa). The high carbs--good carbs though--is my biggest problem. My question-- a few days ago I got the worst swollen glands on one side. Extreme fatigue (slept 12 hours), foggy head. Started with mild stomach upset. Headache yesterday. Is this die-off? Is it from the garlice a bit of coconut oil? Is it a virus? We also had a month of rain and flooding (very unusual for here in Boston). Am I reacting to that? Thanks. It should only be added into the diet after you're able to take the full therapeutic dose of coconut oil without suffering much die-off. jackie
Guest guest
Galen, I would like to know as well. Im wondering if its the over working of the thyroid (with the knewly added supplements).....because its been so underactive. Or is it the release of toxins....... Maybe both?!?! I started the protocol....about 3 weeks ago.....1/2 pill (6) and after 4 days.....achy pelvis and legs. Went off for 2 days.....then started 1/2 pill for first 2 days....small amount of achiness.....and then added the next 1 whole pill. Now I would like to work up to 2 pills (isodoral Iodine). So Im bumping this post......to someone who has any experience/knowledge about this. Kathy Swollen Glands Hi Iodine Group, I am doing the iodine protocol at 50mg a day and supporting supplements: magnesium 500 mg, vit. c 3000 mg, atp co-factors, selenium 300 mcg, and salt. I recently added tmg 500 mg (twice a day) and my thyroid glands are now swollen (and have been for about 4 days). In the past, I got this swelling for a few days when I started the iodine protocol. Does anyone know what the cause of this swelling could be?Thanks. Galen
Guest guest
Steph, The swelling is only on the right side of the thyroid and has increased a little more. Is this something I should worry about? Thanks.
