Guest guest
Hi, has anyone on here experienced feelings of unreality feeling as though there is an invisible barrier between them and reality, and they need to smash this barrier and step through and be connected to reality again. I have had this feeling for over 18mnths now 24/7 and it came on after taking a mnth course of ciprofloxacin. And 6 weeks before this swallowed amalgam/mercury after unsafe filling removal. I have since found out that cipro belongs to a group of antibiotics called quinolones, these have given people all sorts of problems with joints, ligaments, muscles, anxiety, insomnia, and depersonlisation (unreality feelings) amongst lots of other things. Stopping these does not make you better they say it can take years for the effects to leave your body, and there is no gaurentee of this. Half these drugs have already been banned in the US. I definitely got worse after taking these, And think this is when the candida started, if anyone has experienced any of these feelings/symptoms after taking these drugs it would be good to hear from you. I have only just found out about this in the last few weeks. The drs say only about 1% of people are affected by these (yeh right) but independant research says it is more like 15-20% Dudley
Guest Jamieson
I know that this post is over 5 years old, but thought I'd put it out there; yes, the exact same thing had happened to me after taking Cipro! It's been a couple of months since I stopped taking the two week course, and I still feel the same; like I have brain damage. I'm dizzy, disconnected, brain fogged, and dissociated. I have vision loss and hearing loss as well as chronic fatigue, weakness and pain. I too have been told that candida is a factor, but that quinolone toxicity syndrome is the main issue. I'm hoping the original poster reads this and can give me a positive update on your condition; have things improved now that years have past?
