Guest guest
It is difficult to remove implants enbloc through the axilla. If there is no previous incision through the areola, removal can result in loss of sensation and may be difficult. Submammary incision is the safest way to explant. And does removal through the nipple result in a loss of sensation or poorer healing? Thanks, Christy > > > >
Guest guest
I have full sensation in my nipples and had two procedures that involved them, both implant, and explant, I am sure that submammary is easiest for the Dr but what about the scars? I would check out Dr.Feng in Ohio. She does a special tecnique that she has perfected and she does amazing work. Guest guest
Hi Christy, I don't know about the arm pit procedure but I do know that I had my implants put in thru the nipple and lost sensation altogether in one nipple and quite a bit in the other. I'm praying that I won't lose anymore when I have them removed. Guest guest
what if the patient needs a breast lift also at the time of explant? Would you still use the submamary approach ?
