Guest guest
Hi Peggi, I bought last week the new book from Dr. Hulda " The cure for all Advanced Cancers " . On the backside of her book Dr. Hulda claims the cure of 97% ( in words ninetyseven) of all advanced cancers with her therapie. If that is true, the cancer-problem should be solved. Why people still have to suffer? Maybe anybody in this group has more experience with Dr. s therapie and can help you with informations. God bless you Achim
Guest guest
Hi Peggie, Likely that the waste, and toxins that are being produced are not leaving the body efficiently through the kidneys, and thusly building up in the lower extremities. Find ways to support all organs of elimination, the lungs, kidneys, colon, and skin. 1. If you can find a practitioner of homeopathy, and get the UNDA brand of juniper communis, that would help immensely, or email me for a referral if you don't have anybody local. 2. Also, use juniper berry extracts to assist the kidneys. I use www.cedarbear.com for my herbal liquid extracts because of their unique extraction methods. 3. I use Umeken Plum Balls by http://www.mountainark.com/public_html/catalog/ume.html, to alkalize (neutralize acids) the blood quickly, and to support the kidneys. This is an excellent tonic for the kidneys. 4. DNR (http://www.dnrinc.com) makes a homeopathic product called KBL-514EX that works very well. It's designed for the kidney, liver and bladder. 4. Personally, I use Rose Tea, by Sulin to keep my kidneys strong. This has been the cheapest and easiest way to strength the kidneys, as teas are the most effective when dealing with the kidneys. I've used all of the above, because each of my clients have differing philosophies and concerns. Whatever your support is, continue with it as you go through the cleansing process. Build up the kidneys. Ask any oncologist, and they will tell you that most people don't die of the cancer, they die of organ failure, like the kidneys, liver or lungs. Surprise! Those are the organs that can't deal with the waste that cancer creates in the body. Prayers for your husband. If you'd like, I'll send you a box of Rose Tea, free of charge, so he can get some immediate relief. Be well, Strengthen the organs of elimination, so when your "method" of "killing" the cancer is successful, you don't die of organ failure. Guest guest
Umeboshi plums are a delicacy of Japan, and added to rice balls commonly. They are excellent alkalizers. Eat about a teaspoon at a time, 2X a day, that's 2 teaspoons. THAT'S a LOT. Put on a cracker is ok. Rose tea is the NAME of a tea, that has liver and kidney herbs in it. It is not actually roses. Guest guest
Jeff, I haven't read about it as a side effect of Enbrel. That's interesting that it's happening to you too. I was having trouble with my ankles before Enbrel as well, but it does seem to be getting worse. Don't know if the Enbrel is causing it, or if the Enbrel just isn't working like it should, or if I just have to give it more time. Do you find anything helps your feet and ankles? I have wrap around ice packs. Boy am I sick of icing my ankles. I know I should elevate my feet above my heart, but for some reason I hate doing it. Do you find elevating your feet helps you? It could be very serious! My dad is on diuretics and pressure pants in addition to Jobst stockings for symptoms like that! Venous insufficiency was his diagnosis. Guest guest
> Do you find anything helps your feet and ankles? No, Janet and that's what has me concerned..not only swollen , but often numb..plus they turned ugly to the point of being unrecognizable as my feet..i sometimes look down at them and ask myself how i ever got so messed up..like talking to my feet is going to help..i've spoken to several doctors and they've tried to assist, but no good..i too had a slight problem with swelling before Enbrel but not like this..I'm very glad you posted your experience..i'm going to skip a week on Enbrel and see what happens...my last infusion was Tues, so i'll wait awhile before next shot..couldn't be any worse, I think... jeff

I didn't until i read your post about possible connection between the two..So my last infusion was 10 days ago and the swelling is almost completely gone, along with all discoloration...NOW that having been said, just because it seems to have worked for me, don't anybody else try a thing without first consulting your doctor..I had reached the point where the swelling was getting out of hand and along with purplish discolorarion, i became a little concerned about circulation..to say nothing of discomfort..It wasn't even a close call for me and the results have been temporarily remarkable..i don't know how long my feet and ankles are going to remain this way, so i take one day at a time...jeff
Guest guest
Jeff, I'll be interested to hear if you do worse or better with a week off Enbrel. I'll be taking a week off in mid-June when I'm traveling and will be interested to see what happens. I'll probably take more prednisone. I did a terrible job with my Monday injection of Enbrel. I hit a vein in my stomach and blood went everywhere. Then, because I was running to the Kleenex box, which I should have had next to me, to try and stop the blood spray, I left the uncovered needle sitting there and when I came back my cat was climbing gingerly over it, as she climbed up on the table. She doesn't seem to have gotten a needle stick, thank God. Then, this morning I took her into the groomers and while talking to the groomers, I stupidly balanced her big carrier precariously on the little counter and it fell to the floor with her in it. It flipped in the air first. Fortunately, they had all their dirty towels in duffel bags waiting for the laundry man and the carrier bounced off that first which cushioned the blow. That poor cat. I took her out of the carrier and held her close. I hope she's OK. I don't know who was more scared, her or me. Does anybody know if you hit a vein and bleed a lot right after your Enbrel injection does the medicine come back out or does it still get into your system? I should call the Amgen nurse advice line and ask them. Regards, Janet in SF
Guest guest
Is it your feet swollen or your ankles? Some people will get swelling in the lower extremeties from simply eating too much salty food or it can be a symptom of something more serious. It's not something that a doctor is going to be able to tell you much about from that one general symptom. My ankles frequently swell. It's usually because of too much salt. I make note of anything that has changed - food, activity, pain, etc. and I generally watch it until my next MD appt. unless it gets to the point of discomfort or I have other things going on besides the swelling ankles. This is simply what I would do. We each have to decide for ourselves (along with our MDs) the level of responsibility we are comfortable assuming. Guest guest
Edema can be caused by many things, including poor circulation, often a result of diabetes, etc. Can be retention of fluids or other things. I recently started to have swelling in one foot and ankle. As I am over weight, I am focusing on my weight... also the fact that I sit so much .. between work and my commute, I believe mine may be due to circulatory issues. It can be quite painful. If you want to learn more.. research EDEMA. Re: swollen feet Is it your feet swollen or your ankles? Guest guest
Hello With me, it was Congestive Heart Failure secondary to Dilated Cardiomyopathy.  Fairly serious stuff but they have drug programs that help these days.Definitely point out that your feet are swollen to your Doctor on Monday, make sure he listens carefully to your heart (he'll be listening for rice krispies crackling noises).  He'll ask you if you've been sleeping well.  He may want a chest x-ray, ultimately the only sure way to diagnose it is a doppler echocardiogram.  Of course it could be something else and it's usually better if it is something else.Regards,On Nov 5, 2006, at 1:45 AM, Granada wrote:what can cause swollen feet and do i need to worry before monday before seeing my NP of neurologist?? Guest guest
Edema is a sign of Congestive Heart Failure.. but not always associated with that.. it can be many things and only her doctor can advise her of that. I don't know her medical history or whether she has any heart conditions. She should read about EDEMA and understand that there are many conditions which cause this condition, congestive heart failure being one of the more serious. I believe it is also a symptom of kidney problems.. the condition is very common and can be caused by about anything including just being overweight. I started to drink dandelion root tea when it happened and it helped a bit to relieve the excess fluid. I agree with , you need to discuss this with your doctor and make sure he checks out the situation. Guest guest
So far, only my feet and it happens when i am sitting too much or when I lay in bed and then it is one foot over the other, which I think is strange. My right foot. It is uncomfortable and I can notice it. All the nurse told me is if it went up into my legs and if I can't get my shoes on. If it keeps up, I will let the doctor know. I keep wondering if it is the verapamil that I just got put on, it is a side effect, though weird that it would affect one foot and not the other and when I lay down sometimes. After 2 grueling months in the hospital I was told I was taking him home to die! I'd bought in to the then popular idea that a no fat diet would prevent heart attacks and we'd been on that diet for 3 years before his heart gave out. About that time, I fortunately came across Sally Fallon's very important book, Nourishing Traditions. Though that > book and a lot of other research, and I changed our diet completely. I learned that > cholesterol was actually necessary for the strength of the cells and not the culprit it had been made out to be!! I also learned about the dangers of statin drugs. Now my husband only takes them for a few days before a blood test (now ever 4 months) so his doctor will see a low cholesterol count and not give him a hard time!! > His cardiologist and our family doctor can't figure out why he's still alive and doing > fine after all these years! I encourage you to do your own research. This could be very difficult for you, though, because you don't have > control of what he eats, and so many people trust everything doctors and pharmaceutical companies tell them, and their cooking habits are > so ingrained. My best wishes to you and your Dad. Carla > >

I'm doing 3 to 4 electrolyte drinks a day and adding salt to my foods. I'm taking 600 mg Magnesium and 600 mg Calcium. I am still getting leg cramps most nights but I've thought maybe I just needed more time for my body to adjust and then the cramps would go away. I've tried taking more magnesium and I think (fuzzy brain) I still had the cramps. +++Hi . First, ensure you are using the correct ocean sea salt, and not just any sea salt. Also since nutrients all work together ensure you are taking all of the supplements in the correct doses and that you are taking the correct kind, particularly cod liver oil OR fish oil, depending upon your sun exposure. Having leg cramps does indicate an imbalance in minerals, mainly cal/mag. Ensure you are taking the correct kind of cal/mag too. If you consume any green drinks (chlorophyll) or similar products, or are drinking too much tea they will act like a diuretic making your body get rid of water and also wash out electrolytes (minerals) you are getting from the ocean sea salt, foods, etc. Also you should be consuming water that contains its natural minerals - not distilled, reverse osmosis or softened water. Softened water is particularly bad since it is high in sodium which washes minerals out of your body. I recommend using regular tap water and a Brita Filter. Also ensure you aren't drinking something that is high in sodium like club soda, selzers, etc. or taking too much baking soda. I hope that helps you sort things out. Thanks Bee for your help. Yes I take Celtic Sea Salt. > Also since nutrients all work together ensure you are taking all of the supplements in the correct doses and that you are taking the correct kind, particularly cod liver oil OR fish oil, depending upon your sun exposure. I'm taking 2 T of Garden of Life CLO. I just started trying to get some sun, but I've only been outside 15-20 minutes for the last 2 days. Would that make a difference? > > Having leg cramps does indicate an imbalance in minerals, mainly cal/mag. Ensure you are taking the correct kind of cal/mag too. I take Now foods powdered Magnesium Citrate and Now foods powdered Calcium Citrate. I've had some bone broth soup the past few days but didn't lower my calcium supplementation when maybe I should have. > > If you consume any green drinks (chlorophyll) or similar products, or are drinking too much tea they will act like a diuretic making your body get rid of water and also wash out electrolytes (minerals) you are getting from the ocean sea salt, foods, etc. I'm not taking any green drinks or drinking much tea. > > Also you should be consuming water that contains its natural minerals - not distilled, reverse osmosis or softened water. I drink the Swiss tap water and leave it out for 24 hours or boil it for 1/2 hour. I've read that the water is low in chlorine. > > Also ensure you aren't drinking something that is high in sodium like club soda, selzers, etc. or taking too much baking soda. No baking soda in my diet at all. > > The best, Bee Thanks for your help. I'm still perplexed as to what is causing this. Regards,

Also to get enough sun exposure 85% of your body needs to be exposed and you need to be out during the optimal time of day. > > > > Having leg cramps does indicate an imbalance in minerals, mainly cal/mag. I'm still perplexed as to what is causing this. +++Are you taking any kind of medications or drugs, hormones, birth control pills, etc.?
