Hi all:

Anyone out there have the same implants as mine? Surgitek double-lumen

saline/silicone implants?

Mine were implanted in 1988, but according to the path tests, they appeared

old for that implantation date & it was suggested they were early

prototypes. They were explanted 1/01 - severely contractured. My left

implant ruptured - blowing all the saline, etc., into my body. I had also

had a relatively large amount of keflin injected into the implant. The

rupture caused biological materials and fluids to seep back inside the

outside lumen (gross). My right implant leaked, but did not rupture. Also,

the left implant was never sealed. According to my path report, it appears

the implant did not pass manufacturer standards & was re-worked in the lab

before being sent out to a PS. However, after it was reworked, it was never

sealed! Am I a disease just waiting to happen???

Please contact me privately as I'm looking for information with the Dow suit

(not the MDL).

Thanks,

peg
