I have the clip on a real-audio type of file. I don't think this list

allows attachments... but if anyone wants to see the segment of the Frat

guy with DS (for lack of better explaination, since I forgot his name)...

send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you.

Cheers,

Sara (passing videos around is a lot easier with real-audio! huh??)

Hello everyone,

It has been several months since i last posted. My son has graduated

(in February) after nine months of DOC banding. He improved

tremendously (from 12mm ass. to 3mm.)

My reason for posting today was that the today show did a lengthy

segment about back sleeping and their resident doctor made some very

incorrect statements.

One of the most glaring errors was his statement that their have been

NO instances of flattening that have not corrected on their own.

He also noted that these babies had no delays in development, which

most of us would cite experiences to the contrary.

I emailed them with some good information, but I think it would be

good if all of us did so that maybe they will do a follow-up segment

to get the word out there.

To contact them, I went to nbc.com and linked to the today show.

There I linked to contact us where I finally found the link to

email. I unfortunately do not remember the address right off hand.

so, sorry this is so long, but please contact them. I hate to see

another baby go through this because Dr. Arnott is misinformed.

thanks,

Ann

Hi Ann. If you get the email address I'll be happy to write them too. Wrong

advice like that are going to cause more flat heads.

Thanks.

Sorry if this has already been posted, I am behind reading.

The Today Show and CNBC will both air series on autism the week of

February 21. The Today Show series will be 11 parts, airing at 8:15

and 9:15 each day, with a " bonus " third piece on Friday. The CNBC

series will be 5 parts (for a total of 16 total pieces).

Bob , Chairman of NBC, has a 3 year old grandson that has

been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has sent an e-

mail out to all NBC/Universal employees to tell them about his

grandson and to let them know that Autism is a hidden epidemic that

takes an enormous toll on tens of thousands of families across the

country. He also said that his goal is to bring the best and latest

information to as wide as possible an audience on the subject of

Autism.

Congressman Dan Burton is asking parents of children with autism

spectrum disorders to send in their personal stories. When was the

onset of autism?

What were the surrounding circumstances? What are the hurdles you

face in attempting to secure appropriate educational placements and

services?

What are the hurdles you face in attempting to secure or access

insurance coverage/benefits? What are your child's prospects for the

future?

Congressman Burton will be personally reading these stories, and

selecting representative samples to be read by him on C-Span.

Please send in your stories to Congressman Burton, as follows:

Congressman Dan Burton, 8900

Keystone Crsng. #1050 Indpls., IN 46240 Please be sure to note at the

bottom left of your letter " Autism Family. "

Oh, puhleeeeze -- if the network didn't have a particular bias why didn't

they let glenmullen have the last word?????? instead they let the pharma whore

from harvard get his opinion in last, which is what most people will

remember. and why didn't katie talk about her experience with prozac????

pffffffft

-- now i know why i never watch this show -- it's nothing but fluff

propaganda.
