- it does not directly deal with coagulation in a major way, Niacin decreases

plasma >>fibrinogen<<<.

BUT does deal with vascioconstriction (per Jadin, this is

also common with CFIDS rickettsia infections)... so it opens your blood vessels

wider (making blood flow

easier)

500 mgs/day (and expect to FLUSH)

MEGA DOSAGES are dangerous

While I'm pursuing researching and getting the Hemex

tests for hypercoaguability done, I'm experimenting

with niacin.

Which hypercoag problems might niacin help with?

What is anyone's suggested dosage? (I would be takiing

regular flushing niacin).

Wish I could take bromelain but am sensitive to it.

Thanks,

Hope

+++Hi Neary. It appears to be the correct kind. I don't know if

different brands can be more potent than others. We wouldn't have any

way of knowing either.

It could also be that your body isn't flushing at this time. Take the

same dose for 5 days more, and if you still do not get a flush during

those 5 days, increase the dose by 50 mg per day. Or go back to taking

your previous brand of Niacin.

Bee,

I had stopped flushing on the niacin I was taking. When the bottle

was empty I bought a new bottle, same brand, and I started flusing

every dose on the exact same amount. I wonder if the potency changes

from batch to batch, bottle to bottle? Or if it loses potency over

time. If so, then it would make sense that different brands could

surely have different potencies.

+++Hi Lilac. Yes, it is possible different brands could be different.

Last night after the coffee enema my niacin flush was more evident. It

started with much heat on my mid back and then I had very lite itching

and some red spots on my legs. I realized that I've had this heat on

my back for a while now, never knew it was from the flush :) I wish

this heat would go to my feet :):)

So not everybody gets a red face from flush, right?

How do I know when to increase the Niacin? I get this heat at least 2

times a day but sometimes more times. I currently take 100mg twice

plus what's in my B complex (Now brand).

Thank you,

Carmen

+++Hi Carmen. Yes that is correct, that not everyone flushes in the

same places. A lot of the flush is caused by radiation coming out,

which is mainly from the sun. Niacin also seems to target problems

areas in a person's body, i.e. those that were treated with drugs,

surgery, etc.

You may be taking too much niacin at this point in time; I suggest you

cut back to only 50 mg twice a day, and if " true " niacin (not

niacinamide, which is synthetic) is in your B complex you do not need

to take extra. But it's good to have separate niacin on hand so you

can increase it as needed.

My complete instructions on how to increase niacin are in Message

#64474.

Luv & Hugs, Bee

I had 3 spinals for urinary/kidney work back in 1992 plus Lithothripsy

for kidney stones, so there was lots of radiation there... The heat I

get on my back from flushing is right in that area...plus the back of

the g/e junction where most of my misery used to come from...wow...

isn't that interesting? :)

Last night and this morning I had no flushing... go figure...

Thank you Bee.

I know Nicotinamide or Niacinamide are NOT the right Niacin to buy.

What about Inositol Hexanicotinate ?

For some reason or for brain fog reason :) I can not remember now

*** Hi Carmen:

You want to get true Niacin, called B3 or simply Niacin on the back of the

bottle. Do not get

Inositol Hexanicotinate. If you search " niacin " on Bee's site you will get all

the info you need.

Here's one link to check out:

Hi Carmen. People who are the most successful follow this program

exactly, and do not take any other kinds of supplements or substances.

Hi Marissa, I did check the website before asking the group; the

article had no mention of inositol hexanicotinate.

For now I have Solaray brand of Niacin 100mg capsules which works good

for me; but my Bcomplex has inositol hexanicotinate as B3 and just

needed to make sure I compute the right amount of Niacin. I have not

had a flush for several days now, so I need to increase Niacin.

OK then, B3 or Niacin NO other form!

Thank you.
