Guest guest
Wow, today at an amusement park I saw numerous YOUNG children drinking 40+ oz. sodas (as a single serving!), downing cotton candy and oversized lollipops. Then at dinner I watched a child have a shake as his " beverage " before eating his pasta meal. It is amazing how this program has openened my eyes, and how differently I see the world and the American diet! Amy

Wow, that's amazing, and the child's parents probably think they are feeding their child correctly - lots of glucose for energy - ya right! One morning I was standing in line at a coffee shop, and the young girl behind me had 2 young children with her (she was obviously the babysitter). She said " since we are going to the park and are going to exercise a lot you'll need lots of sugar. " They had pop and doughnuts with lots of icing. Duh? Cheers, Bee

I have noticed long before starting Bee's program that we adults can't wait to offer sweets, (and I'm including breads and pasta here) to our children and children we have never met. We are trying to get them to like us and if the child is eating junk it makes it easier for us to eat it too. " Here little healthy person please take this junk and aren't I a nice person? " " Now run along and have some health problems " I recommend caution early on and running up to the offending adult and grabbing them by the throat and squeezing hard probably won't work unless you can then wave the childs memory away and be prepared to adopt them and feed them the good stuff. I feel so sorry for all the people who still eat so bad and I don't know how to tell them (of course no one ever believes in this program). Funny thing is that my friends feel sorry for me because I am the poor girl who can't have any chocolate.....lol....if only they could understand.. Guest guest
If I could live my teen years over again... If I would ever want to... All those shake/burger/fries meals I ate - thinking I was eating good food because the shake had milk and the burger had protein in the beef and cheese and the fries were my veggies! Every night before I went to bed I'd have a big bowl of ice cream. More milk! Does the body good! Ha! My mom was probably thinking the same thing. - Roy
