Guest guest
Robin I also use the Brita water pitcher filter. I makes a lot of difference in the taste of the water. You can sure tell when they add the chlorine here. Seasalt or lemon juice to a litre help also. brita filter > I use a Brita water pitcher filter to get the chlorine out of our tap > water. Guest guest
The Pur tap filters work really well also, and I think they're more convenient than the pitchers. Another bonus: they last a long time (though, after about 2/3 full <there's an indicator window in the front that shows how much is left> the water pressure decreases). Guest guest
If I let a pitcher last longer than 2 months I can taste the clorine in the water. About 2 years ago I saw one of these things I could attach to the top of my filter. Once ithas made it's circle twice, it is time to change my filter. Guest guest
I wish to correct my statement. It isn't the pitcher I can use after 2 months, It is the filter. The quality of the water is fine. There's nothing wrong with her drinking water except it has a taste to it. The taste change is very obvious when it goes through the filter. Guest guest
> > Bee, Have you ever had the indicator light on the Brita filter freeze on you? It happened to me today for the very first time. I tried removing the filter and placing it in again, but that didn't work. I checked back within a few minutes and the light turned off on its own, but when I used it again and turned the water off the green light froze again. It has not turned back off. Do you know what could be causing this Bee? +++Hi . My Brita does not have an indicator light on it, so I can't help you. You must have a much newer version than I do. I suggest you return it. I write down the date when I changed my filter, and change it within 3 months. I tape the note to inside of my cupboard. Bee
Guest guest
, The only suggestion I have for that is to make sure you are following the instructions. Soak for so many hours, and dump out the first few pitchers. (It's been a long time since I used my Britta, so I don't remember the particulars.) hth, Marla On Sun, Jun 28, 2009 at 1:22 PM, diaikelys_gonzalez < diaikelys_gonzalez@...> wrote: > Bee, I have been using the Brita filter for a while now and have seen great > improvements in my health as a result. I read over the instructions and it says that we should run the water for about 5 minutes in order to flush it out a bit. This ought to do the trick. I replaced the filter this morning and the taste has already diminished. Thanks again Marla kelly
Guest guest
, Did you remember to soak your new filter for a half an hour first? Nan >brita filter Posted by: " diaikelys_gonzalez " Sun Jun 28, 2009 1:07 pm (PDT) Bee, I have been using the Brita filter for a while now and have seen great improvements in my health as a result. I do have a question though about the after taste when we put in a brand new filter. I noticed the last time that it slowly disappeared. Is there a way to help rid the water of this taste quicker? Thank you kelly
Guest guest
Hi, Just a quick question: do you all drink water that tastes like chlorine or do I have a faulty filter? I just bought the can they sell in the stores and used the filter that comes along with it.

This should improve the initial taste some, but the taste does get better after the first few days. It is residue from the filter. kelly
