Guest guest
My name is Chuck I've been in the service for nearly 15 years and I haven't had to get the shot yet. I am presently in the Air Guard. I did 8 years on active duty including a tour in the Gulf. I have gone to the local VA and done some testing for the Gulf War Syndrome. Everything tested out ok no need to worry. But I am terrified of this shot that I may need to get before my 20 years is up. I just wanted to tell you a little about myself and let you know that you have my vote. I will keep my ears and eyes open for a cheaper way to reach the people. thanks Chuck

Guest guest
Hi Terri I'm way behind on my emails due to getting a new computer installed Thursday. I will be sending you a check for $5.00 towards our " gift certificate " . Thanks for coordinating this very worthy cause. Important *Sent Special Notice* Dear List Members, Not sure if any of you know Fellow Soapmaker Stefi Burgett from South Dakota, you may recognize her more by her e-mail addy wave4stefi... she's posts on many lists. Yesterday she suffered a great loss. Her mobile home burnt... it was a total loss. In the home were all her soaping and candle making supplies as well as a life time of memories. Stefi has 3 kids. She recently also was notified her disability payments would no longer be continued. She was trying to make a go of it with her business and had a very large wholesale account in the works as well as 2 very large craft show coming up. There has been a special e-mail list set up to help organize donations for her from soapmakers all over the country. They are sending pre-made soap for her shows, candle supplies, money and clothing. Someone is even sending her a crock pot so she can make soap in her motel room. The Red Cross is also helping and everyone is sure there will be a good turn over with donations of clothing and money from her local community, but these are for now. I'm sure that down the road there will be items that she will be in need of. As a group I'd like to help out with those things that she may need down the road. You are under NO obligation ok? I talked with Colleen and she thought this was a good idea too. I'll collect PayPal (echecks or credit cards I'll replace the fee if you pay with credit card) or checks or money orders from group members who would like to help Stefi and we'll buy a gift certificate from an on-line supply company(I'll find out her favorite company) and send it to her from The . I don't care how much you donate $1, $2 or even $10 if you want... any little bit will help. We have 80 members and if we can get $1 from a good part of the members we could have a nice gift for her. Let me know... my PayPal is twagner@... (twagner(at)swns.net) remove the (at) incase blocks my email addy in the comments section put " For Stefi " Checks or money orders can be sent to Terri Wagner, 635 Lupine Drive, Syracuse NY 13209 (make payable to Wagner) If your mailing me a check or money order drop me a note so I know it's on it's way. I'll close this as soon as as all snail mailed payments reach me, but lets try to be swift in getting this complete. I'll post totals to the list as they come in. We can do this gang. It's for a good cause. Here is a link to the news story. http://www.ksfy.com/Global/story.asp?s=976871 Thanks! Terri

Guest guest
Transplanting of cochlea is unlikely to happen. It's very delicate, and I don't know how it's going to be attached to the nerve fibers. And consider the risk of being rejected. Maybe it will happen sometime in the distant future, with the help of nanotechnology. Regards/ Jerome Donation Hi Folks: Have been in both these forums for sometime. I am waiting for my CI surgery date now, having had a tympanomastoidectomy surgery last tuesday in preparation for the CI surgery after two months. I have the insurance approvals needed for the CI surgery, hence I am just waiting for the doctor to check my progress and schedule the next surgery. Nucleus Forum participants may remember me. There are a lot of interesting questions raised and some of them have been thought provoking. I like all posts that relates to personal experiences, before/after CI and technical-clinical research work/tests. This forum helped me present myself as a more confident patient to my physician and audiologist. It was easy for them to go through the paces. While though we may have a lot to share in terms of CI benefits, but we do need to work or encourage research activities in various spheres of Hearing Research. While we know, that certain ear ailments may not have a cure. When ossicles can be replaced, ear drums can be reconstructed, why not look at a Cochlea Transplant itself. Is it possible? As all of us are aware that organs may be donated (indicated for donation) upon our going " KAPUT " from this world. Has anyone of you thought that, why not campaign for CI (Processor+Implant) be donated once we have exited from this world (I mean - RIP " oops " Return If Possible !! LOL). Like an artificial heart, the CI will continue to operate even if we get into the realm of the other world " after life " , but we will not be hearing anything at all with an operating CI. So hence maybe it could be noteworthy to contemplate on an Implant Organ Donation like the CI to needy people elsewhere, where your donated CI could help a hearing handicapped poor child to get assisted. Many in this world may not be as privileged as we are in the US, Canada, Europe etc....Wouldn't it be great to know, that our CI is helping someone hear some where, some place, like a corneal donation helps someone see at some place, somewhere. We don't need a CI when we are in RIP. What are your thoughts? Regards Ravi
Guest guest
> > Dearest Bee, Today I set up a recurring monthly donation of $10. Now, while it's not that much, I wanted to start with something while paying down the visits to Dr.'s and such--all in an effort to cure my acne, depression, insomnia, etc. 2 weeks ago we spoke by phone through the consultation I set up and I thank you for your time and advice. I know better than to expect any miracles with the acne. It started when I was 12, it became real bad in the last year, I'm 37, and I realize that my very toxic life, which had some nice spots, led me to where I am now but I so try to remain positive and grateful that I will be healed of this acne soon and that this new way of living will prvent future health distress. Thank you for what you do and while there are days, like other newish members, that I feel scared, skeptical, doubtful, I look to your site for reassurance, look forward to the daily candida posts and reread the success stories for confidence. +++Dearest Phyllis. Yes, I received your monthly donation notice. Thank you so much! It means a lot to me. Healing your acne will take time and patience, but you can't go wrong following Nature's Fundamental Laws on health that Dr. Weston A. Price writes about (and other researchers and writers do too). The fact IS that only the body can heal itself, but we must give it what it needs so it can do its job as Nature intended.
