I have a few things in addition to what Will recommended.

#1 = GLUTEN! Or more specifically, the glycoproten in the gluten containing

foods you ate that day. It would be present in:

NT banana bread (flour soaked overnight in kefir)

1 peanut butter sandwich on homemade NT bread (flour soaked)

tamari

You didn't specify how much of each you ate, but for someone who's gut

doesn't function 100% (just guessing, here) or is sensitive to glidin, it

might only take one slice of bread. You listed tamari, which unless you buy

the wheat-free variety, can be a culprit as well.

Also, that diet looks to contain a few other potentially non-agreeable

things. I'm speaking from a food intolerance perspective here really. Those

foods can be:

2 eggs, sunnyside up

NT banana bread (flour soaked overnight in kefir)

1 hard-boiled egg

1 peanut butter sandwich on homemade NT bread (flour soaked)

broccoli, raw

popcorn with olive oil and cinnamon

peanut butter Chinese chicken (which is chicken, onions, tamari,

salt, ginger, and peanut butter served over brown rice)

apple with peanut butter

Notice I just copied and pasted the entire food list. This is because it's

possible that you are sensitive to everything you ate that day. This would

be at a level beyond indigestibility. To know for sure, you'd have to be

tested by a professional to know which foods your system doesn't 'agree'

with. There are many ways to do this, but I personally think a combination

between applied kinesiology and Bioset testing is the most accurate and

helpful. Try Googling " Bioset test " and read up on it.

As Will said, raw broccoli is very difficult to digest and is better eaten

partially cooked ( as in softened with steam) and eaten with a high quality

fat like raw butter or EVOO.

Peanuts contain aflatoxin which can vary from crop to crop, but can drive

your system nuts if you have a fungal issue! It'd suspect a raging headache

before a distended gut, though in this case.

Egg white protein (cooked eggs, hard boiled eggs) is a very common problem

for people. You won't know until you're tested, however. A solution is to

eat them raw. Start slow and see how your system likes it. On a personal

note, I'm very sensitive to cooked egg whites and therefore always eat them

raw. It's been years and have never had a problem getting sick. If you can

get your hands on some Mystic Prairie duck eggs, those are great raw!

So what's the solution? Well, as Will said this is not a place to come to

get diagnosed with a medical issue. BUT, there are several techniques that

I've used successfully with myself and my clients in my practice.

1) Elimination diet. If you suspect a food handling problem....either a food

sensitivity, intolerance or full blown allergy (each depends on the type and

severity of immune response)....then you would want to completely eliminate

that food for at least 3 weeks. For example, if you suspect gluten, then

you'd eliminate all gluten containing foods for that period of time. Longer

is better, but in the self-testing situation 21 days typically clears a lot

of your system. Then, after that time is up, eat as much gluten as you can

and watch your stomach. If it explodes like it did in your picture, you

pretty much know that you're sensitive to gluten. You can bank on all grains

containing some amount of gluten, except rice, corn and millet. Buckwheat

and oats are sometime included, but it really depends on the manufacturing

of them and the quality of the grain in the first place.

2) Testing. So you do your elimination and then find out after your gluten

binge that your gut blows up again. Then it would be helpful to confirm how

severely compromised you are with testing. This where Bioset technology

comes in. There are other methods that can help here too like the ALCAT test

and skin challenge tests. The list goes on. Many Chiropractors offer

testing. Maybe there are some in the Resources database that can help you??

Testing will also do one important thing and that is to help you see into

the state of your gut. One very common problem with a lot of people that

they aren't aware of - especially women - is a leaky gut, or leaky gut

syndrome (an umbrella of symptoms that fall under a compromised GI tract).

Since only a MD can diagnose an medical illness, I cannot say you HAVE that

problem. But I'm willing to be that you're needlessly suffering an a

solution is very possible.

Just a little on the gut. The GI tract is filled with square foot after

square foot (the small intestine is the size of a tennis court if you spread

it out) microvilli called the brush border. This border is the essential

part of the immune system as it the entryway from the outside world (your GI

tract is technically outside your body, believe it or not) to the inside

world - your blood and eventually your cells. Guarding the boarder are

immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG, IgE, IgM, etc) and healthy bacteria. If the

boarder police aren't there, the brush becomes compromised or damaged and

foreign invaders can get in. Guarding is a known boarder destroyer. It

irritates the hell out of those microvilli and leaves the gap junctions wide

open food food pathogens (healthy or unhealthy) to be ingested into your

system. The type, severity and length of symptoms that you get when the

boarder is open depends on many things. Most notably, stress, NSAID's,

alcohol and eating offensive foods. A combination of any of those that's at

a level beyond what your immune system can handle - even only after a few

days - can result in lasting problems. In my experience, a compromised gut

can take 6 months to 1 year to completely heal.

Why does it take so long?? Because many people are addicted, both

psychologically and physiologically to the foods that they are intolerant

to. In the case of gluten, eating a lot of it releases glutiomophines into

the blood stream. Glutiomorphines are opiate-like compounds that stimulate

the same pleasure sensations in the brain that heroin would. Thus eating

bread (gluten) makes you feel good...calm, relaxed, " light. " The same things

happens with cheese as it contains casomorphines. The point is that testing

for these things can really help give you the ammo in the fight against food

problems and addictions.

A colon therapist might say that your colon is full and needs to be

cleansed with irrigation, as it coils in that area. (If this is the

problem it is still possibly caused by the reasons aforementioned by

Will and .) You would have somewhat of an idea of whether this is

the case by whether you are having regular bowel movements. (I think

one a day could be considered pretty " normal " .)

Hi Bee. My name is Fred. I have been on the program very cautiously for 4 months

now. I have had my die-off symptoms, worked my way up to 6 tbs of coconut oil, I

have been using all the supplements and I have been doing some extra antifungal

as oil of oregano and I usually go through every day without too much fatigue or

other symtoms.

At first, my meals were quite balance as for fat/protein/carb amount. During

this last month, I have been lowering my carb (mostly green steamed veggies)

alot to the point where I don't have any, only meat and fat. I was feeling

nourished, without lacking anything so I kept eating only meat and fat. Then I

ran into Aajonus Vonderplanitz diet and decided to give it a shot to see how I

would feel. I must say that eating our food raw make alot of sense to me. After

1 week of only raw meat and raw fat, although I was feeling really great, I got

fed up and decided to go back to cook my meat very lightly. I usually have a 1

1/2 inch thick steak with less than 1/8 inch being cooked and I like it like

that. What seems to be the problem for me right now is that when I have steamed

veggies with my meal, I sometimes get really tired after the meal and i can feel

the the veggies aren't digesting very well.

I was wondering what could be the reason. Am I being less efficient to digest

carb? Is my body healed to the point that carb is now bad for me? Could it be

the combination of protein and carb do not goes togheter? (I know what have been

said about food combining but I do have problems digesting very low carb

vegetables with meat now)

My position is quite uncomfortable cause I have gained awesome health results

following your plan.

I am very confused about what to do. What is your thoughts on this?

Is anyone else have experienced the same?

there are so many. It took me a long time to discover the truth.

anymore just by adding fluid to my meals. Instant relief!! Thanks Bee!
