Garlic in cooking?

Bee,

I appreciate this group so much and am very slowly soaking up all of the

information and getting geared up to start.

Question: Garlic isn't introduced until later as an antifungal. Does that mean

that I should not cook with it at all until then? I love cooking with garlic

and without thinking tossed it in my broth I was heating up for lunch yesterday.

One more: I was looking at the steps to follow to eliminate foods from the diet

[thank you, it's very helpful]. Is there a file already on your site that lists

steps/order and specific foods to *add in* as you get into the diet? I found

your wonderful list of recipes but I guess I need more guidance. For example,

what would be the most important food after CO and sauerkraut? Hope my question

makes sense.

Thanks,

Beth

+++Hi Beth. That's wonderful you are getting ready to start!

+++Cooked garlic isn't as potent as raw garlic but it still contains

a lot of sulphur which is antifungal, but when you start on unrefined

coconut oil you may find you'll need to cut back on cooked garlic

since the 2 together might create too many die-off/healing symptoms.

+++Are you referring to Curing Candida, How to Get Started:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php

+++There are handy food lists if that is what you need:

+++It would be difficult for me to advise what to add to your diet if

I don't know what you now eat that are on the candida diet.

Hi Beth, I'm not Bee, but I would go ahead and cook with garlic. It just

might cause you more die off possibly, that is all. I use it now and then.

Also, I just followed Bee's recommended foods when I started. I didn't

really eliminate/add, I just followed the allowed foods. :) Hope that helps,

++++Bee, I didn't realize this. I thought cooked garlic was fine and I

always put a ton of it in my food. On that note, when I start taking

the 2nd antifungal, which will be raw garlc, should I take less or

still do the recommended 4 to 5 a day?
