Guest guest
Are you taking HCL or some fermented veggies (ie sauerkraut/kimchi)? I actually saw different tablets and pills undigested in my stool sometimes, which stopped after taking these. Lack of HCL will inhibit absorption of supplements and nutrients as will the general dysbiosis in the digestive system. Bee says that most with candida issues have digestive issues as well. - > > Hi Bee and everyone, > > I recently went to my obgyn and had a blood test done to find out where > my hormone level is. Guest guest
I am not taking HCL. I do however eat a lot of sauerkraut. Where do you get HCL? Is there a liquid? Maybe taking liquid vitamins and minerals would be a wise idea if that is possible. I do not know for sure. Guest guest
I'm not sure, but I think sauerkraut (ONLY raw sauerkraut which is very hard to find in stores) is as good or better than HCL. It probably wouldn't hurt to try the HCL and see if it helps. It comes in pills that you can order through one of the links at Bee's site (Natural Factors brand). I don't know if getting liquid ones would help, it may be harder to find plus they are less convenient since you can't carry them around as easily. - > > I am not taking HCL. I take a hormone pill every single day for 5 months. Much to my surprise, the test indicated that I am getting ZERO estrogen. I am assuming that my body is not absorbing anything as well as the supplements that I am taking for candidias. In this case what am I to do? +++Hi Rhonda. I do not recommend taking any hormones pills since they are very powerful, changing the way the body heals, and intefering with so many functions they are worth it. Besides, the medical and drug industries are pushing them to make money, but they do not help you. I wouldn't rely on one test either; many tests are very inaccurate. Getting tests done by a different lab is good too. I don't think you can assume your aren't digesting foods and other natural supplements. Those hormones are toxic, and maybe your body is more able to get rid of them, and yet the natural mechanisms that kick in for producing estrogen naturally haven't had time to activate properly. Your body is very well designed to take over production of any needed hormones if your ovaries are removed and after menopause. Very little hormones are needed then, since estrogen and other hormones are needed for reproduction, but not after you aren't able to have babies. Menopause is not a disease, and any related symptoms are not caused by a lack of estrogen, progesterone, etc. Just like headaches aren't caused by a lack of aspirin. In any case, taking Betaine HCl helps digestion and it won't hurt you to take them. Caution! You'd never take HCl in liquid form or powdered out of capsules since it would burn your mouth, esophagus, etc. going down. It is always taken in capsules or tablets - see this article on how to take it: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/dig5.php I hope that helps. You would never take HCl other than in a capsule or tablet since it would burn your mouth, throat and esophagus very badly. Bee

Just so you know, you would never take HCl that isn't in a capsule or tablet, since it would burn your mouth, throat and esophagus badly going down. So I have started taking Apple Cider Vinegar which has many wonderful uses including aiding in digestion. Take a little in water before meals, and you will find that it prepares your system for the food much better. It is surprisingly alkaline too which is always good for absorbing nutrients as well as general health and cleansing.

Some candida sufferers are unable to tolerate vinegar, and some can have small amounts, so it isn't very good to use it for digestive problems. My recommendations work for everyone anyway.
