Guest guest
You don't want to take ALA, (except small evenly spaced doses). NAC may or may not be a problem, depending on you. If you don't feel toxic from it, it should be ok and will help over time. Some people with mercury get high cysteine and feel crummy from NAC and shouldn't take it. B12 hydroxy shots are fine, in fact they helped get a lot of mercury out of my brain. ----- Original Message ----- From: natposte I just found out through doctorsdata's lab that I have very high mercury levels. Which shpplement should I Not be taking? Is it ALA or NAC, I don't recall. Is B12 hyrdroxy ok to take in the meantime?
Guest guest
Nat, What kind of test was it, urine, stool or hair? Did you do the test with a " challenging " agent before the test such as oral or IV DMPS? Do you have amalgams, if so, how many and how long? Do you have any root canals? The reason I ask is I've been through this process. I had all my amalgams removed safely over a period of time and tried a few different chelating agents. Your test result may be significant or it may not be. One of my doctors has noted that some people with high levels of Hg in their stool and or urine that have their amalgams removed (if any) and done chelation have improved remarkably. Others like myself have not. If you have amalgams, the first step is generally to find a biological dentist that is familiar with proper protocol in removing those old nasty fillings and replacing them with a composite material. Chelation is not recommended for those with any kind of metals in their mouths. The protocols for chelating heavy metals are numerous and there is much controversy. My suggestion would be to find an experienced practitioner and look into this further before " shotgunning " it. If you can provide your location, perhaps I can locate some knowledgeable medical people in your area. I think it is worth looking into further. Guest guest
hello nat , i think u have to be careful how much alpha lipoic acid u take .. ..maybe limit it to 300 mg day ( ? dr cheney) but my local altenative md just told me its oks to go higher but i am being cautious about it . sorry about your high mercury levels... I am curioous how they picked it up ? i had tests on my cells years ago to show higher than normal mercury level probably why i find it hard to detox and absorb nutienst and certainly part of the reason my kidneys have promblems beginning now... ( liver and kidney prime detox systems) But more recently i had a blood test ,about a year ago which said i was normal but i dont think its accurate... i doubt i got rid of the mercuy in my body with large amagums in most teetch and porr detox abilty all these years and poor tolearnace suppliemnts etc... I was thinking persnally of using chorella like dr cheney used with his patients as i am too toxic to dmps, edta etc.. good luck.. tealk > [Original Message] > From: natposte <jazz62@...> > < > > Date: 4/13/2004 12:38:18 PM > Subject: High Mercury > > Hello, > > I just found out through doctorsdata's lab that I have very high > mercury levels. Hope this helps Pam Ps I have got to update it to the fact that I have also got borrelia and co-infections in my blood and am treating this with TOA free liquid Samento. This is also helping, so much so that for the past 5 nights out of 7 I have slept for a solid 7 1/2 hours without interruption, something I haven't been able to do since 1993! Also my immune system is so much stronger and on many days I feel very well and am able to achive many physical things I couldn't have thought about in 2000 when I was so sick. Guest guest
Pam and all, My mouth broke out in a herpes simplex virus 2 days after I had my amalgams installed 15 years ago. I've had breakouts every 9 months ever since then ( but the Transfer Factor I took 3 years ago may have gotten rid of it because I haven't had a break out since 2 years). Anyways one year after that dental app't I came down with a really wierd virus (neurological symptoms), but it went away after 10 days. A year after that I came down with " CFS " . Coincedence? Anyway my immune system has been so much stronger and I will never regret going through the proceedure to have my amalgams removed which I did over a 10 month period not to stress my worn out adrenals further. Of course I followed up with ALA taken in rounds for about 7 months. Once I got to 70 mg every 4 hours over 5 days with no ill effects I stopped doing it. It definitely made my Candida problem worse. Good Luck Pam

I believe it is to do with its sulphur component so if one has Candida it is something to watch out for. Maybe one should take prescription meds to help kill it off in between the rounds of ALA. In the end I had to have 8 weeks of amphoceterin B lozenges and got rid of a massive amount of yeasts/mucous from my GI tract. It has made a big difference to my immune system and also my digestion is now perfect. Pam
Guest guest
That's interesting Pam. I have heard MSM is supposed to be good for getting rid of candida. Would you care to speculate on that?
