Guest guest
I have not reported in for quite a while and the last episode was when I did a few days of my " peaches and ice cream cure " to kick my gut out of many weeks of abdominal pain. That was back around mid August (you can do a search if want to see about that `unusual' approach at the time). Anyway the main news is that I am just a LOT better these days and it has been consistent for the last two months. The diet had already helped a number of things improve, but my sensitive gut was still playing up a lot no matter what I did even after 8 months. However, I consistently have had a hard time with supplements of nearly any kind, both before the Diet and after, so just decided to drop them for a while. All of them, even though Bee's list is pretty basic and low key. (Incidentally, Bee was aware of this and in my case thought it was a good idea due to my gut being so hyper-reactive to random things). My gut is a lot calmer but for sure not anywhere near a `cure'. My thinking is much clearer and the dizzy, spacey, fatigue episodes are as good as nonexistent. I took some Milk Thistle tincture for 7 days last week just to see and it made no difference whatsoever. Previously it had helped a lot to clear up my " head " stuff for some weeks then wore off. Seemingly I do not now have anything in that department to clear up I guess! So, for those of you with very sensitive gut issues and are wondering if you are possibly intolerant of supplements a cessation trial could be worth doing. For me I had been battling meds, supplements, and docs for years about whether " pills " were helping or hurting me. In fact some caused permanent damage (to my hearing - antibiotics). I am not convinced we all need supplements even in " medical " situations though caution that this I think applies to very few people and primarily those who have had GI infections or the like that may have compromised function. There is a lot more I could add to this but this is along enough post for now. Best to all… M.
